  1. Standard Intercooler from RB25 perfect condition $100 Strandard ECU also from RB25 manual $170 Ph 0416085323 (mick)
  2. It has gone to heaven now, the compressor inlet snout was 49mm-so the top of the compressor would be ~48mm and the bottom of the compressor was 62mm. the turbine and exhaust housing were stock. Apparently rb25s come with turbo compressors ranging from 45 to 48mm inlet- quote from ATS (adelaide turbo specilists). I am getting it rebuilt with a 52mm top and 72mm bottom T04B Vtrim compressor and VG30 exhaust and housing which has a bigger A/R.
  3. GRRRR disregard everything above, just had the turbo checked by ATS and it is dead stock.

    idle

    1.Turn it all the way in the direction that your idle drops 2.slowly turn it up untill you idle starts to increase then back it of a tad so its just before that point. That should be pretty much spot on. *don't adjust your idle up valve if your car was idling fine b4.*
  5. Don't touch the globe with your fingures at all, the oil from your fingers gets on the glass and causes them to overheat- Reduces there life span ten fold.

  8. looks identical to the turbo I pulled of my car on friday, has the groove down near the compressor to.(supposed to improve flow) 45v1 is the part number for the VG30 and R34 compressor cover. Also looks slightly machined aswell. how does a tommy race gate differ to standard?
  9. My turbo ran 1.1 bar for so long cause it didn't have to spin as fast with the slightly high flowed front end. Bearings are noisy now- ceramic wheel is still fine=) Drivebai: I am moving to Sydney in january, I will take ya for a spin then.

  11. That was me, the VG30 is sold. It should put out 15kw or so more than the rb25 turbo. I am having my turbo rebuilt at the mo. It already had a compressor that was slightly bigger than the VG30 and a rb25 turbine and housing, it already made 225rwkw. I am having it rebuilt with a VG30 turbine and housing. I am chasing slightly better top end.
  12. bump drivebai, performance wise the car has a zaust, filter, cat in pipe, HKS EVC, Power FC, Cold air intake, Greddy front mount intercooler, oil/air seperator, octane booster for 12sec run and a HKS solid centre twin plate clutch. Also running 255 17" on the back.

  14. The exhaust housing and turbine is smaller than the VG30. Are VG30 turbines ment to be 49mm and Rb25 48mm???
  15. Ok everyone has be telling me for ages that my turbo can't be stock for the power it makes. I just recently heard some strange noises from the turbo area and decided to pull it off. The rear housing is standard as is the turbine(48mm ceramic). The compressor is 49.5mm top and 64mm lower. I compared it to a VG30bb and the trim on the blades is also different. The compressor cover is also a 45V2 VG30bb unit with slight machining. Can anyone tell me if the 45V4 rb25 compressor is the same dimentions as the Vg30 or More like mine???? meggala??? Would be good to work out if it has been modified, seems to work very well. If it does turn out to be non standard, I would think a VG30 comp cover and high flow wheel with the same trim would be a very cheap upgrade. full boost by 2500 to 3000 218rwkw @1bar 225rwkw @1.1bar I am having it rebuild with a larger VG30 exhaust housing. I will post the result next week after it's finished and dyno'd. the car came over with a chipped computer and massive fuel filter-go figure. maybe it had a package deal done, I have seen the advertised by tuning shops in japan.
  16. Its a VG30 standard unit, power would be 170 to 200kw absolute max. the thickness of the intake compressor wall is also standard. VG30 specs compressor 46mm top(RB25-48mm), 62mm bottom turbine 48mm(ceramic)
  17. OK it is actually a VG30 turbo with a ported exh/housing. straight bolt on for rb20 and 25.
  18. Stay tuned everybody, I am taking it to Japmotorsport now to see how it compares to the standard units
  19. HRthirtyone- I am not sure if it is rb20 or 25, looks identical to my r33 one. From the condition it is in I would say it hasn't been installed since the rebuild.
