mine is connected to the rocker cover aswell- however there is another smaller pipe with a valve that closes once on boost that comes out of the rocker cover on the plenum side and goes into the plenum. I blocked off the valve with a screw and now I have perfect idle again. My catch can actually works now to, has about 10mm of condensation and oil after a week. Previously had next to nothing. Wouldn't suprise me if other people have made the same mistake.

Disregard my ultra rich idle mixtures as I had and air leak that I compensated for. Found out air was being sucked thro my catch can in to the plenum bypassing my air flow meter and butterfly. Clean your AAC valve, its the thing hanging of the back of ur plenum closest to the fire wall. you will see two plugs, the purple one is the right one. This usually solves most idle isues.

GTST- Your vaccum characteristics at part throttle are totally different than an R33, what would work on your car will be totally different on a 33.

Ive done the mod that alows 30psi. it works, but makes that car a pig to drive at part throttle. I wouldn't recommend it.

15 degress is standard. Remember they have a double trigger tho so will read 30 on a digital light.

Steve, just trying to show the pressure drop across the cooler, it's easy to see when you test it yourself. I agree with what you said 100% ,but, no sure what your getting at ???

Remember the timing works on a double trigger. You timing light will read 30 degree for 15. I'm guessing the mechanic hasn't realised or You cam gears could also be a notch out. Pull off you front cover and check that all you TDC marks line up.(a little dot is punched in every pulley)

All you guys are forgetting about flow. There is power to be had if you increase flow. This is the main restriction with the stock cooler. You will make more power at the same boost level and temp with a larger better flowing core. Try testing your boost level first before your stock cooler and then after and you`ll understand. No flow-no power no matter what the temp.

Start at $180 all the way up to $999. The cheaper they are the less warning you get, about 2 seconds from my last cheapy. Pretty useless really. A heap of false alarms to. I would reccomend buying a Bel. You will need to spend at least $400 tho to get any useful sort of warning and minimul false alarms. They work in the same way as the sensor eye in your tv and vcr that picks up your remote. The cheaper Detectors have a internal oscilator that can be picked up by the police radar detector detectors (VG2). They still claim to be undetectable, because when they sense they are being detected they cloak themselves by switching of the internal oscilator. This doesn`t work all of the time as I have experienced( and had my detector taken and been fined for the illegal use of a police detection device). The more expensive Bel brand radar detecters don't have and internal oscilator at all, therefore are totally undetectable.
