  1. Fact- you will get a power increase if you improve flow. (provided you adjust your mapping to suit) If your cooler doesn`t improve flow your car will only be as fast as it is when it's cold. The option to run more boost and more timing advance with less chance of detenation is were all the larger gains are to be had. Jap intercooler manufactures try and find a happy medium between large flow and respectable cooling properties without to much pressure drop. Sound easy....its not. For instance a truck core may cool very well but have very low flow. *you get what you pay for*
  2. My stock air flow meter gets to full resolution at 5000rpm (5.115v) 218rwkw 1bar.
  3. Mine made an extra 20+rwkw just buy changing the cooler and nothing else.
  4. Your right on the money Steve, I only get near those figures with a healthy dose of octane booster and I still get a minor ping. I`m taking it down AIR for the next street meet. Fingers crossed I can get through another 6 passes.
  5. Fantastic. If one person gets some use out of it, it was worth posting.

  7. I wish it was from the software. I made it up myself. I have only seen Datalogit for GTR in Adl so far. sorry =(
  8. The extra Fuel Very low in the rev range is for smooth idle. That's what happens when you remove the mesh from the air flow meter. Its does get a tad confused at idle.
  9. Here is the Excel file I used to map my Fuel and ignition tables. I am sure some of you guys out there can get some use out of it. I recently had Mick from subzero Dyno my car. You can clearly see the fuel he took out of it at PFC load Value 15-16. The car was being retuned at 1.10bar. The Ignition points around 15-16 need to be trimmed at peak torque to reduce detenation. Did make 225kw tho. When the timing is retarded I think it will negate the extra boost and all I`ll end up with is a slight increase in mid range power only, probably actually loose some up top.
  10. Don't shoot the messager thats all, I'm just passing on what I have been told. If you look at my personal report from driving the car it is distinctly different.
  11. sidewaymambo- definately no instant throttle response if thats what your getting at. Extremely good compared to other cars "I`ve" driven with hiflo and big Jap turbos Sydneykid- You seem to know better, how about you tell us what its like since you have never even seen the car. ciao
  12. Actually got to drive the JMS 302rwkw GTST last night (thankyou Terry). I must say I was quite impressed. That car doesn't have the usual huge jap turbo sledge hammer effect at all ,but, was quite progressive power delivery. Very drivable even through tight cornering- no opps I boosted at the wrong time and did a 360! The turbo lag was noticable and took a slight change in driving style. Instead of just planting your foot for instant boost I had to change down a gear and use the revs. A familiar woooosh comes from anything over 3000rpm and a shove in the seat really takes effect after 3700rpm. The cars redline is set to 8000rpm which still provides ample rev range to play with. Would be lieing if I said I wasn`t grinning from ear to ear inside ( couldn`t let on to much that I`ve never driven a car with that much power b4 and Terry said he is a girl in the passinger seat) when I was frying the tyres all the way through second and third!- not enough road for fourth.
  13. I haven't dynoed it since I installed the pump, but, it did half my detonation levels. Must have been running alittle lean.
  14. try GCG turbocharges. They quote 20% power increase at the same boost and no loss in response. Check out Serious Performance 6. They change both the turbine and inducer. www.gcg.com.au
  15. *Another Mod I forgot - Mesh removed from both sides of the A/F meter make sure tho you have a filter that pramotes even air flow or you'll get uneven idle.
  16. I have had the turbo off, because no one believed it was stock when it produced 218rwkw, and yes it is dead stock... go figure. It does have a fuel filter the size of a Milo tin and a bocsh motorsport pump(installed after last dyno) and I must say the high flowing fuel system did give it a noticable increased shove into the back of the seat. Power FC indicates injector duty at 99.8% and my Stock A/F meter runs out of resolution @ 5000rpm. As you can see there is nothing left in it. Thinking about a Z32 A/F meter and adjustable fuel regulator- has to be more tuning to be had up above 5000rpm.
  17. My thoughts to ben, as long as I don`t get a heap of broken compressor bits through the engine when it goes. I am thinking about scraping the TD06 idea and developing the stock turbo more. It certainly is alot cheaper.
  18. I'll suss it b4 buying don`t you worry. maybe ask someone who isn't trying to sell me one.
  19. I wasn't there when It was dynoed. The power figure I can garentee and the boost level was set to 1.4bar but trailled off to 1.2bar at peak power because of the resrictive standard exhuast mainifold. He said "it rips the tyres at 3000rpm".
  20. I actually gave the Escort the thumbs up because I thought I`d lost, couldn`t believe it when i got the slip.
  21. Matt (whatsisname), I was lookin a getting a trust TD06. Terry from JMS just installed one onto his Rb25 powered 32 and made 308rwkw @1.2bar and full boost a 3000rpm. I left early yesterday and didn't see what he ran ...... would have been interesting
