  1. ghetto mod - the art of taking something, anything, and putting it to an application for which it was never intended to acheive as good as or better than original results.
  2. My bro in Melbourne tells me R33 S-T's are "the new" fully shick VL turbo if i could afford a 34 i'd buy one - but i can't so an R33 S-T will do, i just won't drive it down chappel st.
  3. if you've loosened the retaining screws and the adjustment screw still does nothing sounds like it's stripped it's thread. You could try a ghetto mod but make sure you can get yer hands on a complete replacement 1st You need to dismantle it and find out exactly what is wrong.
  4. It's fairly easy to allign yer lights. Get a big bit of card board (like a fridge box from the back of Harvey Norman or something) flaten it, and use a marker to draw an even + shape on it. Park the car on level ground in front of a wall or someplace where you can hang the cardboard level and square. Multi level Concrete carparks are good. Use a tape measure to verify the heights are the same to the bottom of each headlight just incase it's not the lights that are out of whack eg tyre pressure or suspension. Park the car one or two metres back from the cardboard and turn the lights on, you should immediately see if one light is higher. Before you play with screw drivers, use a white paint pen to mark the current positions. To adjust headlights on some cars you first need to loosen all of the retaining screws slightly, then changing the angle with the adjustment screws will have better results.
  5. I wish i could catch someone doin it... even if it wasn't my car... i reckon i'd badge it myself just so i could shove it up his @#%$
  6. Jane Brook ere - if yer out this way (& didn't know already) - check out O'Brien Road (about 10kms in) for some sweet hairpins or Mayo Rd (thru to Woraloo) if yer more into the short S curves and lots of gear changes.
  7. I've done that to every car i've had but not for performance reasons - electrical noise impacts lots of things - GPS and 2 way radio's for starters.. you can "hear" many cars electrically (radio waves) long before your ears notice the sound - VW's are terrible for it, so it makes sence the ECU would benefit. You've done it right and used high amp low resistance wire & it looks like you've got it connected to the negative rail of the fuse/relay box too? I'd love to be the next proud owner of this monsta but i can't squeeze that much from my wallet. Good luck with the sale.
