yeh usually either oil coming out exhaust or through intercooler piping can meen seals are goin....but another common sign is the turbo changing noises..... can make more spooling noises or grinding noise....its generally uncomon....but if you suspect any problems get a torch and look down the intake of the turbo...and move the blades around and make sure they arnt rubbing against the side of the compressor housing...do this WHEN THE CAR IS COLD....as ive seen too many people get burnt hands from doin it after boosting...lol

id sugest changing brand of oil.... i use penrite and it takes a good while to go dark but that has heaps and heaps to do with the condition of the motor itself....for example if the previous owner never changed the oil and let the inside of the engine cake up with old dirt and oil deposits it will stay like that for a while....untill you consistantly do a few hot flushes of the oil..... like run the car very hot and then drop the oil...and then flush more oil through and continue to do that untill the oil flows clean... it sounds as though it has been poorly maintained in the past....

ok yes that is also true skyzalimit but when it comes down to it we really we shouldnt even be having this conversation....if parts dealers just traded properly then this wouldnt happen....although its almost understandable when you think what we have to deal with these days....... good points though ask all the questions before you buy and im sure the seller should be more then happy to answer every question no worries......

thats not 100% the case...... it is with some brands but not with all.... for example if you buy a car ....it comes with a 3 year warrenty then if you sell the car the new buyer still gets the waarrenty correct??? i bought an engine for a client the other day it come with a 3 month warrenty... i simply passed it on to the buyer of the engine and he filled it out and returned the slip to the place that i purchased it from.... not always the case
