Pretty close. move the circle about 10cm right and 10cm down and that's where the motor and drive gear are. To get it all out, you have to unbolt at about 4 points. I can't add to your image at the moment, but you have to unbolt the bar from the bottom of the glass, the two bolts that are in the slots above the large hole. You don't have to move that long vertical bar to the right that the window runs down. Basically, the whole mechanism is a scissoring setup... disconnect all the bolts, undo it from the glass, fold it down, then you can pull it out through that large cavity. I'll tell you now, be VERY careful when removin the motor/gear from the 'frame' thing once you've got it all out of the door. There's a high pressure spring on there. When I took mine off, it whipped around and sliced straight through my thumbnail.

*drools and looks through wallet* Unh... would you take $12.55 in loose change and some subway stamps? Sorry for the hijack, but they're damn nice wheels. -
4150, are you still in the Navy, or do you have a civvy job? Just wondering what civvy jobs pay your rent in Japan?
-
Well, mine's all good, went straight on... and the seat covers are good, and the autometer pod jigger isn't too bad...
-
Yup, I just got mine (along with two Skyline seatcovers and an autometer dual pod thingy that I'm not happy with, but that's not UAS's fault)... can't argue with $40 for an airguide...

Rezz, that's awesome. I could spend hours standing here, watching all the cars, going "Oooooh!", "Aaaaaah!" and "What the hell is that???"

It's unfortunate, but like Joel said, a minority ruins it for the majority... although I would say that it's more 50-50 than a minority/majority. Let's face facts: There *are* a lot of young drivers who act and drive like they're indestructable, leave rubber at every set of lights, give lip to cops when they're pulled over, so on and so forth. On the flip side, there are a lot of young drivers who are sensible, do occasionally give it a squirt at the lights, but generally behave themselves. I'm 29, although I'm friends with a large age group of car nuts... ranging from about 18 to the father's of the 18 year olds... and while the hoon-behaviour *does* go down the older you get, it doesn't always go away. There'll always be that one idiot who helps the hoon stereotype along. A lot of my younger driver friends are safe... they go drag (legally, at the strip, and on the street, albeit rarely), they give it a squirt on a cruise and have a bit of fun, but they don't endanger people... although I know a 25 year old who's supposed to be a responsible adult, and he drives like a tard. Every corner is drift terrority for him etc... The point of my tired rambling that young people will always be targetted and labeled as bad drivers, regardless of whether they actually are or not. The idiots who cut loose will always ruin it for the others. In addition, most people have that old attitude that experience is the real teacher, and young people don't have it. You also get the older guys who are just purely jealous... My advice to get over these prejudices... show that you're a good driver, because complaining about it will never prove anything to those who put down young drivers. Show that you're responsible when it comes to being a licence holder and a performance car owner. Drive responsibly, remember that there's a brake as well as a throttle and at the very least, people may reconsider how they think about young drivers. To the guy who went back and abused the old guy who yelled out "Slow down punk!" or something like that, you're hurting yourself. Going back and abusing him doesn't prove anything except that you're a ****y, stroppy young person and you're not helping your cause for respect at all. If you had gone back, explained that you were doing 10kph under the limit, it would have been much more helpful. He would have had a bit more respect that you took the time to explain your side, without getting your back up about it. This goes with dealing with cops as well. There's absolutely not point about being pissed off or sullen with the cop that's pulled you over. Sulking is not going to get you out of that ticket. You know you were speeding, take it like a man. However, if you weren't speeding, explain that you do not believe you were breaking the law. If he insists that he's got you, take the ticket, take down notes of the situation and then deal with it in court. Whatever you do, don't get pissed off in front of the cop, that'll just make it worse. Personally, I deal with young drivers on a case-by-case basis. I'll have much more respect for the 18 year old who's responsible, but still enjoys a bit of a fang, compared to the 22 year old who is burning rubber at every chance.

Yeah, I get the same thing here... although it's generally "Get away from me" or "You smell" or "The judge said 100 meters, Sciby."

I don't live in Japan, but I can offer some world-wide advice... The job has the potential to pay twice what you're on... if it sounds too good to be true, it generally isn't. Just be careful, you don't want to be stuck over there on a workvisa with a dodgy job offer and being stuck. Otherwise, good luck with it. I'd love to move to Japan, but while I'm fairly employable as an IT guy, I doubt they need more of me over there. I'd just be that dumb bald gaijin who probably knows less about networks than their school children.

Darrin, you have a PM... -
Nice photos Akeenan... the japanese definitely have the whole track housing thing down pat. The bar photo, I gotta ask... what are japanese women like when they're out on the turps? Are they quiet, or do they carry on like australian women? Do gaijin even stand a chance with them?

Well, I don't condone what Oz did, but bikes *have* a place... the bike lane... cars don't have to give up any part of the road for them. Of course, they're not everywhere, but you get that. It's all about being understanding. Bike riders have to understand that they just can't get in the road of a car or truck, because it's much harder for them to stop... and on the flip side, cars and trucks have to be understanding of the fact that it's so damn easy to break a bike rider...

400R bar + Skirts + Intercooler
Sciby replied to R33GT's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
If it helps, the sideskirts look like Trials. Would still look good with the 400R. -
I assume you're referring to Nismoboy there, and not me?
-
Vexed, read the for sale forum rules...
-
But why? Cars, trucks, et al, do far more damage to the road surface than a bike, which is what the rego fee generally covers. If you're looking at it from a 'user pays' system, that's not really fair either, as bikes take up only 10% of a road's profile... As for a pushie licence, it's not a bad idea, although look at the people who have car licences and still don't indicate/drive like a fool, etc.
-
That's a pretty arrogant attitude to have... I'm on the pushie at the moment (yay no licence)... I stay in the bike lane, or over as far as possible when there isn't one present, but at some times, I *have* to share parts of the road with cars, trucks, etc. They're bigger than me, so I give them respect and move out of their way as quickly as I can. Also, not all bike paths (I'm assuming you mean the concrete paths on sidewalks, not the bike lanes on the bitumen) are bike paths. Some are foot traffic only. However, you get the instance like yesterday, when I was riding in the bike lane, past the exit for Bunnings... some guy with a patrol was driving out, looked straight through me back at the cars up the road, then started accelerating, straight into me. The only reason why he didn't hit me is because his wife started yelling. I wasn't in a blind spot, he was looking directly *at* me, but just didn't register, for whatever reason. It was 4pm, nice and bright, no excuses if he had hit me. Anyway, the point is that it goes both ways. There's probably an equal percentage of idiots on bikes as their are in cars, but guess which survives an accident better? And as a ex-professional road cyclist, you should realise that drivers have a certain extra amount of responsibility to actually obey road rules when there's a bike near them, because a rider bruises more easily than a car. Stopping because you realised the road is for cars, blah blah blah? That's a very strange reason to stop...

By itself, can't remember. I got it done with a service (oil, plugs, etc) I think it was about $120 for the labour, all up. So.... $200 should do it? Money worth spending though.
-
Nissan can sort you out, I believe it's $90... don't skimp on this...
-
Keep in mind that a 300zx is: 1. Heavy. 1600+kgs. 2. Has a very crowded engine bay, making it harder to work on, making labour costs skyrocket, even for 'minor' work.

Sorry dude, hate giving bad news to people... it may be like an S13/14 cooler... can't say for sure... -
Well, my radiator air guide has been ordered... along with a couple of seat covers and a autometer dual pod pillar holder thingy... although the guy on the phone said that there were no pillars available, and it could be a bit of a wait.
