  1. Okay... erm... hard to explain without a picture, but standing in front of the engine bay, look down towards the oil filter... in your way will be a 2" sized pipe, with a sensor situated about 4 inches out from the side of the block, on top of the pipe. Hope this helps. If it doesn't, I'll find a photo. edit: Oh, and the pipe will be leading into/away from the radiator.
  2. yeah, >13-14psi, and turbo bits will spit themselves down various piping. You *could* run it higher for a brief period, but only if you like replacing things.

  4. I know this is for an RB20, but I had some very weird behaviour in my 33... hunting, lack of power, etc... then stopped the hunting, just ran shite... turned out to be the coolant temp sensor. I mention this because we (the mechanics and I) thought it was the o2 sensor at first... then the AFM. To test this, go for a drive, get everything nice and warm, then yank the cable off the temp sensor. If the engine doesn't go nuts and rev and carry on, then it's that. And if it does, just pop it back on, all good. Free engine self-diagnosis, gotta love it.
  5. Let's face it, the Ceffy was a nice car (even though I never got to drive it. ), but given the choice between a Cefiro and a GTR... hmmmm...
  6. Read the car in his ID thingy.
  7. Meh, forget the Cefiro, enjoy the GTR.
  8. Yaaaaaaay! You know you and the Cefiro were meant to be.
  9. Y'all think that those are posed photos... Squizz used to live up here in ol' Rock Vegas and I can vouch that those photos accurately depict his standard maintenance methods. Don't accurately depict the voices in his head though. And to think he wants to sell the ceffy... crazy...
  10. I think you might find that there's actually some carnauba wax in the Gold Class stuff (don't quote me though)... if the Gold Class bottle mentioned protection and has carnauba in it, go with that... otherwise I'd suggest the carnauba stuff. I have some Meguiars carnauba stuff, which is always good. I use it for protection rather than giving a nice shine (which it does anyway)... unfortunately, I don't have a garage, and I have to park in a dusty area at work, so no matter what I do, the shine doesn't stay long, so I just stick with taking care of the paint.
  11. I've actually just read the original post, completely mistook the question... When you first get it home, give it a wash, but with not too much soap, just to get rid of the dust and whatnot... lost of rinsing with the hose, keep it all nice and wet until you can get to it with a good chamois. Dry it down with the chamois, then get to it with the wax. Do it in the shade (garage is good, outside in the shade sucks because you'll get bits from trees all over it)... do the wax and buff by hand, don't use one of those buffer things, you'll get happy little circles all over your nice new paintjob if you go too far into the wax. Anyway, wax every time you wash, like Kinks said, you'll get a good layer of wax on there, protecting the new paintjob.
  12. It never fails. Just went I can't afford it, insurance renewal comes in the mail. For reference, I'm with Suncorp Metway, full comp, $1000 excess plus $600 on the excess because I lost my licence. I'm 29, rating 2, I live in 4700, garaged, premium is $777.39 for the year. I've got alloys, zorst, stereo, strut, can't do much more to it though. Can do a 'partial' bodykit, which is spoiler, sideskirts, and possibly a front lip, but doesn't seem to include a full frontbar. If I started doing performance mods, I'd be asked to move along... Hmmm... faster car or cheap insurance... decisions, decisions...
  13. Friends... friends... :kick:
  14. Argh, looks like I'm too late. Any more of these badges available? Red is fine.
  15. Wax, wax and more wax. Er... not all at once. Wax is regularly, so the fresh paint has a good layer of protection. How much is the full respray costing you?
  16. It may look good, but it's blinding to the other people on the road. But anyway... It's amusing when people get done, and then bitch and whinge and moan about how the cops are noobs and other such names... if ya get done, get over it, learn from it and don't do it again. As for the whole mis-identified car, it doesn't really matter. They've got your licence details, they've got your rego number. You can only get out of it if they took down your personal details incorrectly (not including address). Do you really think they'll listen to you and go "Oh, shit, yes, you're totally right, that's not your car! You're free to go." without getting the opinion of someone would be able to tell the court that the RS and WRX are submodels of a Subaru Impreza? It's a very, very minor mistake of the officer involved, so, basically, you're nicked. Deal with it.
  17. I've been perving on the bodykit on this car for ages (as well as the car itself), as it's on the DMD website. If I was in the market for another 33, this'd be taken, but alas, I have one. Good luck with the sale, hope you find a buyer soon. Great car.
  18. But... cefiro's can't drift...
  19. I'll have to get it posted. Too lazy to pick up.
  20. I'm in for a rear strut bar for an R33 gts. Edit: It's an rb25, not that it matters for rear, and I'm in Rockhampton, qld.
  21. *laughs* "Hey woman, this is BETTER than good road hold and handling!"
  22. Well, I rang Whiteline yesterday and had a chat to them. They basically had this to say: - No, we will not fit ANY shocks apart from Bilstein's to the Whiteline Works pack. - Yes, they technically will fit, but the springs were designed and set with the Bilstein shocks in mind, not Koni or KYB or anything else. - They apologise for the delay. (ha!) I feel sorry for the girl on the phone: she had the flu and had to deal with disgrunted suspension customers all day. She thanked me for not being angry. Anyway, I rang back Pedders and told them all this. Going in for a free balance and alignment tomorrow (to reward my patience) and we're going to look at what Pedders' can offer, in conjunction with the Whiteline handling pack. Will keep you guys up to date with what happens...
  23. Well well, funnily enough, today I'm way pissed, and I find this thread. I ordered a Whiteline Works kit about 5-6 weeks ago through my local Pedders, (who are kindly letting me pay it off, ain't they nice?). Those poor bastards have had me ringing up once a week to see what's happening: they can't get info out of Whiteline beyond "Unh... they're at the docks we think, waiting for customs." "Er, they're at customs, but dunno how long they'll be." "Customs sent some back, so we have to wait." And the best one (was speaking to pedders, but he's just parroting the Whiteline guy, so imagine I'm speaking to WL.): "Well, it seems that there never was a shipment, so you now have to wait." "What? For how long?" "Late november." "Ya ****in' what??" "Well, actually..." "Yeah??" "It'll be late December with two weeks for customs and two weeks for backorders." "Screw you, hippy." (Didn't say this last part, but wish I had.) So... what do we do now? We can't get Bilstein's until December, and I'm wary of using Koni's, because I'm buying Whitelines because they did the research using Bilstein's, not Koni's. I'm paying for the researched and tuned pack, not a close approximation. At the moment, I'm thinking about just getting their handling kit and getting some 2nd hand springs until I can buy something better. Or Bilstein's arrive. ****ers.
  24. Congrats on the marriage, sympathies on losing the GTR. Ah well, we all have to grow up and get rid of our toys sometime.
