  1. Hmmmm... normally that would be very tempting, but since I'm not going to japan in 2005, I've gotten a senior member position at the res college at the uni I work for... live-in network admin by night, better room, ensuite, better parking space, key to the member's bar... *glee* :headspin: While there'll still be Rocky 'women' around here, there'll be many, many imports from overseas... last year, there were 20 scandinavian women...
  2. Dunno what it is, but Perth seems to have a higher ratio of hot women... although I live in regional queensland, where they marry at 19 and are fat baby factories at 22. *chokes back a sob*
  3. Spoke to Al yesterday, group buy is still happening. Patience, patience.
  4. Congrats Topi, I've wondered how your work exp went. Good writeup, good photos, sounds like you had a ball. Very stoked for ya, nice work. *lives vicariously through Topi*
  5. Al, I love you, beautiful timing. Sign me up for brake lines and clutch line, in red.
  6. Call me crazy, but... it seems rather silly to announce a group buy for pistons in sets of four in a forum based around a car that had one very early model with four pistons, and now every single model has six. Perhaps you might want to think of these things and how much relevant support you'll get when posting a group buy.
  7. Heh, I have... by proxy... my uncle fitted a set to his formula libre car, he espoused the virtues of them, so while I don't have them on the ScibyLine, I know what they do, and that we should all buy them.

    Whoretown Japan....

Remember that is not the destination that is important, Glasshoppa, but rather, the journey itself...

    Whoretown Japan....

Yeah, Oz will always be Numero Uno in my heart, but I've been here for 29 years and haven't gotten further than 5kms off shore. I wanna live in Japan for a year. Now, damnit.

    Whoretown Japan....

What I've had enough of, when it comes to japan, is me not being over there! *sobs about redundancies that don't happen*

    Whoretown Japan....

I finished my assignment, hurrah! I have a camgear, l'weight flywheel and a pair of East Bear ears waiting to go on my car, hurrah! Oh god I'm so bored.
  12. I can't remember GTR's having horribly dodgy clutches (unless it was caused by abuse), but *shrug*.. Happens to the best of us, but AWD is not going to help you corner hard. In fact, you may find you have more problems because AWD cars are notorious for understeering. You go around a corner, you understeer, you feed more steering into the corner, then oversteer snaps in (and it *will* kick in. the closer to the edge you get, the faster you go over it)... AWD cars are not going to allow you to corner hard or fast. It's a common reason as to why WRX owners end up as small white crosses on the roadside. If you want to corner hard and fast, spend a metric f uckload on a decent suspension setup, some GOOD, grippy tires (I've got some dunlop LM702's at the momen, $360 a corner, but pretty good, recommended) and then perhaps some high performance driving lessons, where a pro will teach you how to corner fast, safely and effectively. Then you can corner fast, have the fun of a RWD car and not have to work with an understeering awd car. Technology will not just let you reef the steering wheel and mash the noise pedal and let you live every time. Laws of gravity, inertia and thermodynamics do occasionally have a say in the matter.
  13. same as the brake lines... doesn't flex, more pressure forced onto/into clutch operation. Better feel, slightly easier to move. For $70, hard to say no.
  14. Probably wouldn't cost a huge amount to be fitted. If/when I get mine, I'll probably just do it myself, unless it requires some weird tool that I don't want to buy. Wait, SK said I was spot on... the SAU God of Advice said my advice was right. I feel all dizzy...
  15. Smells eh? Well, it'd have to be good to beat what I smell at night. To set the scene, I live 30m from Fitzroy river, which is one of Australia's wider rivers, so when breeze hits it, the coolness carries with it... which then wafts through my neighbour's yard, through his jasmine bushes and through my yard and house... I get home at night, the moon is out, it's that gentle summer coolness after the heat of the day (Central Queensland, not that girly "Oh no, a bead of sweat!" heat from downsouth. I've been known to stand out in the driveway for 20 minutes, just smelling and watching the river and the stars. I could see myself doing that a lot in Japan, just stopping and absorbing the scenery. Erm.... to get back on topic... I like Japan... because of vendingmachinescarsjapanesegirlsgadgetsandeverythingelse.
  16. That'd just irritate me, personally. Is it possible to get kicked off a train for verbally abusing salarymen for being jerks? (wait, don't answer that.)
  17. It's actually more practical over pretty... braided hoses don't expand, so all pressure exerted on the brakefluid is almost completely transferred through the hosing, whereas standard hosing can expand and flex. It also cannot be punctured easily, so you're less likely to get a random leak and suddenly find your brakes don't work.

    Japanese Police

Should have clutched at one eye, started limping and screamed "POLICE BRUTALITY!" :bonk:

Lol, always knew you were a troublemaker, Daioni. Were there any repercussions from the whole school seeing it?

    Hands up who...

Yeah, for the most part Australians buy Holdens or Fords, if they're after a performance vehicle. However, some of us prefer to consider all options, rather than just blindly buy what the guy next door has. On that note, there are a billion holdens out there, but there's relatively few Skylines and other imports. The numbers are increasing (my Skyline used to be the only import in the 100+ car park here at work, but just this morning I saw two silvias and a soarer. Now I just have the best import in the carpark. RB's are produced by Nissan, but in the mid-80's, Holden bought a number of 3L RB engines with a single cam head for their VL Commodore. It came out in turbo and non-turbo models, although the turbo isn't as powerful as an R33 (and I believe it's roughly the same as an R32), they're still good cars. Good family car with potential for performance.
  21. Ni birru o kudasai.
  22. Track him down and steal something of his, like a child. A healthy one can get quite a good return on the black market.
  23. I wondered about that... I thought you may have some strange dash, or different to mine. *shrugs* Me dumb too. :drooling: Well, +7 = 1 bar = 14.7psi, so you're getting about 7-7.5psi... it'll feel much smoother once it's at full boost, although going from 5 to 7psi won't be too much of a jolt to begin with.
