  1. Hey all, just a silly question, ive got a fairly stock R33 with just exhuast and filter, was wondering if i got a aftermarket dump pipe, (made for a R33) could i just wack that on without any other parts needed to be changed? is it worth it (as in would i need a front pipe as well?) does anyone have any pics of their aftermarket dump pipe installed in the car? cheers, Din.
  2. 300zx's are older then time itself, not to mention the amount of engine trouble a lot of them give.
  3. ye i think ill go a set of adjustable caster rods! getting a set and also fitting done...for $300. is that a good price u guys reckon?
  4. hey guys im just a bit confused, whats the difference between: * castor rods * tie rods * Tension Rods
  5. cheers mate, will give em a buzz.
  6. Hey guys, I need to replace my caster rods or at least the caster rod bushes on my R33, does anyone know a place in VIC close to melb that will do a good job? and would they stock the bushes or rods? cheers, Din.
  7. PMS sent. thanks.
  8. Is looking for a S1 Mspec Front bar, pref in Black and in victoria, but willing to pay for postage or other colour if the price is right. Doesnt have to be in brand new condition, dont mind a few scratches here and there as long as its not huge chunks off the bar. cheers, Din.
  9. ye your spot on mate, i mean i dont have much expreince with performance cars, but just getting good tyres that actually stick to the road makes a huge difference then most mods you can do imo. The car now just grips and get a lot quicker acceleration out of corners and just gives u more confidence to drive the thing at a limit, specially in the wet. the maxxis have gotten even better (drive feel wise) as the days have gone by (mind you its only a week and 200km's old).
  10. aw mate tell me about it! in the wet its like ice skating! had hyandais go faster then me around corners in wet days. as soon as u put the power down the back end would just lose it. they really are the tyre of death. I think on 'what not to have on ur boosted skyline" should be "205 Nankangs".
  11. aw also forgot to mention there is this outer rubber lip that goes around the actual edge of the rim to protect the rim from minor gutter marks (side wall)...which i thought was kinda cool, i dont know if this is standard now with performance tyres though.
  12. Well i didnt wanna spend too much, so the guy reccomended "Maxxis MA-Z1 Victra" which at first i was a bit iffy about cos ive never really heard of them, but apperntly won the best tyre for 'wet braking' and 'noise' in wheels car mag. I was still skeptical, but thought id give them a go and i actuallly found them to be really good! pleasently surprised. Lot better then the nangkangs and the sumitomos i had on before. The tyres are very quite and handles well in the wet. Get great traction! maybe its cos their still brand new, but so far so good. 13. hey all, not sure if its appropriate to put this on here, but i jus got new rims and they turned out just how i wanted them to! The rims are RJR Bronze 17's. I took a pic in the garage as its raining, gotta get some more pics when the weather is nicer. Tell me what u guys think? All up it cost me 1600 with tyres brand new from Bob jane so pretty happy. Need to lower the car now though cos it sits a bit too high up for my liking. all feedback welcome.
  14. anyone?
  15. Hi, If anyone is selling a series 1 R33 front bar, either a M-spec or a GTR. I would prefer the colour to be black, but its not a biggie. I am also in the market for some aftermarket side skirts, again pref in black. I would also prefer the seller to be located in victoria. can pick it up straight away. Cash on Pickup. cheers, and thanks for looking. Din.
  16. Modified Mag has also posted some specs. It remains to be a mystery where they derived these specs. They are inline with all that has been pondered and debated over the past few years about the next GTR. The Specs Of The New GT-R -VQ-Based 3.7L 24 Valve V6 -Twin Garrett Turbochargers -Front Mount Intercooler -7-Speed Sequential Gearbox -19 Forged Wheels -ATTESA All Wheel Drive -Aluminum & Carbon Fiber Components -Low Drag with Increased Downforce -186 mph Top Speed (est) -450hp Take these specs with a grain of salt until we find out where they came from. And here is a LINK for some photoshopped side views...i'll have the black thanks...or the midnight purple...aw dont make me chose! http://www.nissangtrproto.com/archives/200...lor-photoshops/
  17. hmmm the only problem with the above picture is, its looks very much like a celica now??? so thats never a good thing.
  18. ye i so agree! imagine the front of that thing with all black with the carbon fiber....very horny.
  19. I think the engine may be a bit of an animal if the exhuasts are anything to go buy, i mean they wouldnt just wack on 4 exhuast pipes unless you got some serious go. hmmm i can see in another 5-10 years many of them running around town with twin 4.5 tips.
  20. come on guys, it looks awsome, if you look at the deisgn they have used a lot of elements from the R32 GTR days, i mean look at the side on view of the back, looks very much like a R32, you cant expect the car to look like a update for a R34 cos the car does not share anything from the RB GTR's. As hard as it maybe soemtimes you gotta look forward to the future and from an industrial designers point of view i think its heading in the right direction. I have a feeling the car will have a excellent power to weight ratio as well as there was evidence of bits of carbon fiber in a lot of places. I guess when it comes down to it, the true beauty of the GTR is its power and grip so cant really give a real verdict until they release some specs. I personally love the exterior of it. Thiers also a lot of after market potenial for that front which is always important hehe.
  21. ye? i think the new ones a lot better...i think nissan did the smart thing by bating pplz to see their reactions but if u look at some aspects of the new design the lights and so on still have 'ideas' from that 2001 prototype. I guess at the end of the day, the looks of any car will be debatable, but hopefully the performance and 'street cred' is the important factor. I really hope they dont go up market and try and make a 100K+ car cos it wont be the same. The best thing about the RB range GTR's was that they would shit on many cars that was 3 times its value and that for me was the best thing about it.
  22. nothing wrong with that! im glad they will be keeping the round lights... i heard runours that it might be a twin turbo v8? while i highly doubt this...its still exciting stuff!
  23. does the car have any side skirts? or does anyone else have any side skirts to sell? pref in melbourne. cheers.
  24. hey guys, i think its time i replaced my R33 battery now as it is more than 12 years old and getting very weak (like the headlights deim when i use the power windows!!) anyways was wondering what sort of battery's you guys would reccomened for a good price? i couldnt find any infomation about R33 batteries on the manual either! cheers. Din.
