  6. Blitz looks good and its blue!!! On a standardish car you wouldnt notice the difference with flow differences!! But if you can get one rated as the best for round $20 I hav it!!! Its just not as pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Im using a Gates belt. Never had any problems. As someone told me belts are all gates do, all there RND is on them and they are very good at it. Its how they make their money. Greddy only do some Timing belts on top of everything else. (not saying theres anything wrong with Greddy) Both are made in Japan anyway!!
  8. Depends on aplication, if your ralling you want an oiled air filter to catch the fine dirt but for general driving un-oiled filters are fine. K&N flitrate very well, the US using them in their Apaches due to the fine particles in the desert!!! All the fine stuff sticks to the oil, the rest is caught by the cotton gauze. Some foam filters are bad, I had a HKS filter and they are known for sucking in dirt round the seams so i changed it for a Blitz!!
  9. At previous job we used to buy them from the same supplier!!! There must be some difference coz the Simota got a lower rating than the 3A in the review. They had the same colour options too!!!
  10. Only problem with Drift and K&N is that they are oiled filters, after a while they can foul your AFM. In a recent review, Autosalon Mag voted 3A Racing filters the best it got 1st for Flow and 2nd on filtration. And they are only cheap. First on filtration was K&N which also got 4th on flow. In the test were HKS Direct Drive(6th flow/9th filtr), Apexi Power Intake (7th flow/6th filtr) and Trust Airinx (5th flow/7th filtr) to name a few.

  12. I agree!!!! Power to weight ratio can be a factor, but its all about driver technique and ability!!!!
  13. Bars-bugs is the best ive tried. They sell it at Autobarn and at Big W in a concentrate and pre-mix in a green and white bottle. I used to drive from wagga to the central coast every couple of weeks, it was one of the few that work well!!! I use rainx treatment on the front window as well to repell the water, it also repells dirt etc. You just pour a bit on, let it dry and buff it off.

  20. I had pump replaced and and is running heaps better, it pops every now and then, on idle its heaps smoother! Im getting the injectors done for good measure!
  21. Throttle body and valve were clogged up so I cleaned them out but was still having problems. I got a mate at nissan to put it on a diaignostic computer everything showed up fine, air fuel and everything, and no error codes but didnt feel right!! There is no exhast leaks, I checked it, so the damage cant be to bad! I got it dynoed and it only dynoed at 108kw at all four and was running lean!! I got the fuel pump flow tested and its screwed so im replacing it tomorrow with a walbro then getting another run done. The pump was only running around 1.0 to 1.5 litres per min. I will post after the pumps in, thats the major problem, but the injeactors i think will need a cleaning too!! Thanks for the input everyone!!!! I now have a couple of other things to check out if im still having problems tomorrow!!
  22. Ive re-insulated the coils with electrical tape and checked for exhast leaks!! Still no luck!! Does anyone have any ideas on causes?
  23. I just bought an r32 gts-4 and I had no dramas when I picked it up but Ive noticed a few problems start up. On start up it runs very ruff and sometimes stalls, if I give a bit of juice after a second or two it seems to sort it self out. Also after ive given it a bit while driving it back fires when you back off and the next few times you touch the pedal it also back fires. The car only has a filter and 3in cat back exhast! So far ive done the plugs, fuel filter, reset ecu, cleaned air flow meter and tryed injector cleaner. It runs smoother but still plays up. Im going to try insulating the coils to see if it makes any difference. I did notice there is some damage to the centre muffler so that maybe causing the back firing.
