  3. just a note about the commy drivers been targeted my next door neigbour has 3 really clean vl calias one of them turbo and i was talkig to him about this thread . he replied on vl calias website there are complaining about getting pulled over at random as well so it's just not the imports that are" copping it no pun intended'
  4. maybe a list of who's going too see what the numbers are ?
  5. any chance of getting some name tags made up so we know who where talking too as not every one on this site knows every bodys fac ect ect ect you know what i mean lol
  6. when i built my ac cobra replica i had a machine shop make some coil over kits for the front end the guy that did the engineering on the car passed them with no probs regency had no probs with them either when it went down there for there pre registration inspection check over of the whole car . if there ok for a kit car why not a skyline seems double standeds too me :-)
  7. as a retired demo drive there more too be in than watch lol . iv been in about 6 or 7 of them back in the days when v8 falcons and full chassis toyota crowns was the go . i even totaled a studibaker lark in one lol . ive been rolled crunched and had one catch fire but never won one was the second to last car running in one but got pounded in too submission lol . watched one up murry bridge speedway the other week a guy come out in a vn commy wagon it lasted 2 hits b4 the front end fell out of it .
  8. we might see neil driving a skyline lol have one here for sale but it might have two many mods lol
  9. ive seen plenty of gps units that are perm mounted on the a piller so there should be no difference between them and a gauge imho i have no probs with suction type i have one myself . i cant wait for niell to join up as i have a few questions i would like to ask him myself just so im clear in my own mind about a couple of things . like i said b4 good job all round for all those involved cheers dean
  10. first up kudo's to all involved including sapol . if we want too get rid of the hoon perception maybe it could start right here with mods removing post that relate too hoon driving such as for example http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Sm...ng-t256967.html . post like these dont really help our cause . i have no probs with neil having a account here if it all helps . the more police that know whats defectable and whats not is a good thing if it stops cars getting defects for fmic and pod filters that regancy have no probs with . looks like i have too remove my boost gauge but i hope that every car import or not that mounts a gps unit on the a piller has too do the same :-) ..all in all it seems a good result i dont think any of us that has a defect ie high mount turbo ect ect really had any complaints about getting defected if we know its illeagel . its the getting pulled over for no reason than it;s a skyline with the old tired excuse just doing a lincese check routine when your the only car target out of a bunch that goes past . all in all like i said a good result and lets hope goodwill from both sides of the fence prevails cheers dean

  23. i got too admit we have ducted evap that works really well MOST of the time and does a great job BUT there are a few days of the yr where the evap just dosent make the grade . hence why i want to put a split system in the family room . the family room and the kitchen are really one big room separted by a island type bench . but as we spend most of the time in the family room i think we would benifit from the split . actually it really dosent even need to heat as we have a wood fire and a gas heater there . but refrige cooling would be great . enough of my ramblings . cheers dean
