back then there was a few with the falcon cranks fitted gave you about 230 ci on a 186 block you had to bush the small end of the rod for the pistons to fit and we made them floating at the same time a while ago come racing was doing the stroker kits using the falcon crank but was yrs after we had done it lol cheers dean

i ran a to4 turbo into a 476 blower on a speedway car many yrs ago using mechanical endlee methanol injection took a couple of seasons and a few blown motors but it went hard for what it was at the time 20 yrs ago lol 186 holden block 221 falcon crank bmw rods and arias pistons with a alloy phill irving head on top , i imagine with todays technolgy it would be easy to do every thing on that engine we had to machine up ourselves we had nothing to go by still it was always fun beating the v8 guys with a 6cyl they used to hate it lol cheers mid life crisis

that applys more too a n/a motor reason on a n/a if the ports are too smooth the fuel goes into the chambers as droplets where if the ports have a semi machined surface it atomises the fuel more into a mist . this also applys more to carby motors than injected ones where the fuel is a finer spray anyway . with forced induction the fuel goes in a shitload faster than been drwn in on a n/a motor. and too the guys trying to sell me there big turbos lol def not needed in my case but a nice steel wheel highflow would suit my car and mods nicely -)

battling regency can be a pain as well when i built my ac cobra replica i had to argue and with the help of the engineneer that i did not not need to run a charchol canister on a lpg powered car only . took 7 months of paper work going back and forth notes from the gas converter the engineer there is no way you can hook one up to a gas conversion . in the end regency gave me a exepmtion to run without one on the condition i run a air pump into the exaust and run 2 cat convertors . no ford v8 in australia run a air pump and i had too modify a gemini one to fit and cats do fark all on a lpg car . despite a engineer telling them what was right they took it on themselves to make up rules as we went along . cheers mid life crisis

sounds more like a head fark ok doe's the inlet port show any signs of oil in it compared to the other inlet ports ?or do they all look the same .check the inlet yalve stem for straightness or and grooves along the stem that oil could pass thru . check the valve guide for wear on one side of it or is showing that its wearing evenily. it could be a crack from under the cams going into number 6 port i was hoping you would have had this sorted out by now bit hard to offer any more advice without seeing the head . did they check the head for softness b4 starting the work ? cheers mid life crisis
