stick with the rb ive done the red motor bit and the rb is leap yrs ahead . i used to race a turbo 186 with falcon 221 crank and a phill irvin alloy head using mechanical methanol injection and with all of that it just made 350 hp and only got a dozen or so meetings out of it without a freshen up . it used to pop the welsh plugs out of the block till we made screw in ones . the block was o ringed it run carrillo alloy rods and aries forged pistons and cost a shitload to develop and maintain. the rb is a proven product will make more power for half the head aches . cheers dean

had a ball yesterday driving a r33 4wd non turbo at truro dirt circuit yesterday got a win a 3rd and 2 fourths got third over all in the class big thanks to the car owner for lending me the car for the day . got me enthused to finish off my own car for dirt circuit racing . cheers dean

just got back from a week in melb to visit the sister in law and her new b/f got a invite up to his house for dinner and we start talking cars and he invited me out to his garage i spotted a couple of Mercedes one was a amg model of some sort and i thought nice collection of cars . he then ask me to help him lift a car cover off another car and i nearly come in my pants as a 355 Ferrari come to light farken awsome we went for a spirited drive for about a hr all i can say is 0 to 260 comes up bloody quick . ive never been in a car that goes as hard and stops even quicker stays dead flat during corners . could not score a drive tho but was happy to be passanger for a while i hope her sister hangs onto this bloke for a while lol. cheers dean

my next one im building is a couple of months away but i might to a step by step photo build as i go it will be 6 ft 6'' by 16 ft tray area total width 2450mm from outside edge of mudgaurd to mudgaurd 2500mm is the max you can go . from the vehicle standeds bulletin 1 max length cant be any longer than 12.5 metres max width 2500 but excluding signalling devices ands side mounted lamps rear overhang must not exceed the lesser of 3.7 metres or the front load space ground clearance when unloaded be not less than 100 mm for any point in the width of the vehicle which is within one metre fore and aft of any axle hope some of this helps ya

im chasing 1 tyre 235 x 40 x 18 i need one as a spare for my road car. longs story hit pothole bent rim new rim ect ect now i need a tyre to fit up to the new rim so all my wheels including spare are the same . dosent have to be new 1/2 worn is fine as long as it holds air . hopefully someone might have something laying around . pm me thru here or email [email protected] cheers dean

i can relate to that had the same thing got knocked off my motor bike and my foot ended up resting on my knee bend right back with compound fractures to tib and fib plus smashed ankle and pelvis . over 6 months in the rah 30+ operation over the last 30 yrs and the skin grafts to prove it ..

ive built a few car trailers now and will be building another one soon . i use 75mm x 50 x 3mm rhs for the main chassis and runner supports . cross supports i use 50 x50 x3 mm rhs drawbar i use 75 x50 x 6 mm . i use 45 mm square axles with brakes on front axle not many people know this but if your hubs centre too centre are less than a metre you can register it as a single axle i can scan the the page from the road transport site to back that up . here in sa you dont have to get it engineering cert as you build when finished the rego dept will give you a list of people who will inspect it for you and issue a compliance plate and some paper work cost about 70 bucks last one i did . take the paper work to rego dept and they will register it , tilt trailers are a easy to make just make the draw bar pivot near the axle and have a way of locking it in place from the trailer chassis if making a tilt trailer use a rocker spring set up as opposed to slider type springs . hope this helps cheers dean

here are a couple of pics of a 308 im doing at the moment for my dirt circuit car this valley area has taking me days on the die grinder and flapper wheels 308+40 tho flat tops. balanced crank rods and pistons. block decked arp rod bolts and head studs hv oil pump brock baffled sump and lots of little tricks that i keep to myself lol

i have a few different sets now i was bought up using plastigauge and old habits die hard i have a nice alloy headed 347 windsor with alloy rods and forged pistons comming in for a freshen up as soon as i get the all clear from the doc "recovering from hernia op atm" still a few of us old school builders out there lol.

i went into sprints the other day looking for some plasti gauge the guy looked at me like i was from mars even after i explained what it was and what it was used for he still was confused .....just shook my head and walked out ended up getting some from ebay lol
