  1. gee back in my day i had to walk to school in the snow with a sheep under each arm just to keep warm
  2. the things some people do for cheap skyline parts
  3. was it in a street or track engine? if the motor was used for motor sport your on ya own . if it was a street motor i would be talking with the engine builder for some sort of compersation also depending how many ks the engine had done of course .but i reckon it looks like rod bolt failure to me .
  4. if skylines were the same price as vn and vl commys there would be just as many wankers driving them .like someone else said the make of car dont make ya a dickhead .hell ive been yelled out by a wanker driving a r33 cause he thought his r33 was tougher than my r33 a dickhead is a dickhead no matter what he drives
  5. when i used to race holden v8s at speedway we used to tap into the side of the heads near the rear and run a drain back to the sump otherwise the rocker covers used to fill up with oil and pee out everywhere this used to fix that prob chhers mid life crisis
  6. well my r33 had the nut come nearly undone on the bottom ball joint the other day scary stuff i can tell ya so its just not other brands that have probs it happens to us as well
  7. well got some change over arms with new neoprene bushers today cars all good again now to fit the new bar and front mount
  8. i just brought a pioneer 2750 plays mp3 ectect 149 bucks at auto barn now i know its not a top of the range model but with my amp and speakers it kicks enough arse for me just neeb to put all my songs from the pc onto disc now
  9. im in adelaide and have a 600 mm wide roland cutter that i make a few stickers with i brought it when i was racing speedway was cheaper to do our own cars than pay a signwriter
  10. just wondering what prograns u use to convert bitmap to vector. i use coral draw and vinyl master pro at times just wondered if you had found something more user friendly i have a vinyl cutter as well and have hundreds of stripe type graphics already in vector cheers mid life crisis
  11. the ball joints look very clean and new i just think whoever fitted the ball joints just didnt do the nut up tight enough and it worked loose
  12. well i pulled the caster arms off today and altho they dont look the best i found the cause of the problem. the bottom ball joint nut was so frigging loose i could undo it with my hands thank god for split pins so a few drops of loctite done the sucker back up and a new split pin all is sweet again.still pulled the caster arms off and will replace the bushers any way . as for wheel alignment the car has 225 s on the front they are half worn very evenly across the tyre and the car had never wandered b4 the nut come loose on the ball joint .anyway just glad ive nutted it out pardon the pun cheers midlife crisis
  13. yep thanks for that .ive just looked under the car and the caster bush on the lhs looks shot .so it looks like the prob im hoping i can buy some tomorrow somewhere
  14. hi there i took my r33 gts t for a drive tonight and it scared the crap out of me .every time i hit a small ridge in the road the car seemed to dive from one side of the road to the other actually pulled me into the next lane almost like driving on tramlines bloody scary .first time ive noticed it doing it it had me that worried that i drove it home at 20 kph .could it be a ball joint or tie rod end caster bushers ? anyone reccomend anyone in the northen suburbs of adelaide that might be able to check it out i really dont want to drive it till its fixed cheers mid life crisis
  15. why would you want to take your thermostate out ? its there to slow the water down so it dosent pass thru the raditor to fast and gets a chance to cool down if you take it out the water will pass to quickly thru the rad and wont cool down .maybe buy a new thermostat but dont run without one
  16. he is with just cars and its insurred for 15.000 g the thing with them tho every time ya ring up ya get a diffrent price . i pay 900 a yr im 46 for my r33 and its insurred for 18g with the same company
  17. my son is 19 has his r33gts t rego in his own name has it insured in his own name and cost him 1500 bucks a yr .the only prob in doing it ya olds name is that you yourself wont be racking up a insurence rating .and when you do couse you dont have a rating your premuims are going to be high anyway your really saving swa in the long run
  18. if ya recon ya heads only worth 100 bucks but a 100 buck helmet. when i raced speedway i used to buy a new helmet evry 2yr and always brought a simpson reccomended for speedway . and put new seat belts in every yr regardless of what the old ones looked like , safety saftey safety you have absouletly no idea how hard a concrete wall is till ya drill one head on at full noise .or ya car is cartwheeling down the straight feels like .20 yrs racing my advice to you would be spend as much as you can on safty gear and the go fast bits later
  19. some people chop out some of the bumper reo bar to get the cooler to sit back some more .and yes its not uncommon to have to trin about 5 mm off the fan blades to clear the piping . u may also have to relocate your hoen as well in cases
  20. cool the kits look great no worries look forweard to fitting them will take pics along the way
  21. both my kits rocked up today no probs . was surprised too see the came direct from hong kong in a hybrid box and packaging well packed as well i might add . the only thing is ours dont actually say hybrid on the top of the cooler like your picture shows but says HDI. regards dean also was the ment o come with fitting instructions at all cause there is zip in either box on insterlation
  22. looks like transit damage to me maybe ya should have sorted something out with the seller rather than give him shit in this thread and the other thread you was whinging on . i look forward to recieving the kits ive ordered
