  1. Thanks guys for that!
  2. Hi guys! Ok, I was the recipient of road rage this morning after I merged into someone's lane. Nothing wrong, except he sped up to try and block me from his lane, but he was too far behind and by the time he caught up, I was already in the lane so he slammed on his brakes. Next thing I know, he's on the horn, gesturing to me like he's a fcuking 9 y.o whinging about pulling his thumb out his ass. But the thing that gets me, is I see in the rear view mirror he pulls out a fcuking camera and starts taking photo's of my number plate! I'm normally cool as, but that made me think "WTF!?" and I drove so that I'd come up to a set of lights and then got out and went to his car and took photo's. Only had my camera phone with me but...guess what? The camera didn't record the image!! I can't stand these fcukwits who want to carry on and all the rest of it in their car and when I went up to him, he just say's I'm with the RTA! and winds his windows up like a hurricane. You tell them to step up but they just dry up. Anyway, what I wanted to ask you my friends is has this guy who works at the RTA got anything he can get me on? Nothing eventuated altough I would've loved to have sorted him out. Cheers!
  3. hey there's some pretty good ideas floating around, I liked ice skating, but i'm afraid i'd look like a tool because I can't ice skate so i'm probably going to go with the balls head reserve - but thanks dudes! I don't see anything wrong with getting a brainstorm of ideas and it's worked...but like in who wants to be a millionaire, when you ask the audience and the choices are down to "A" and "C", there'll always be wankers in the crowd pressing "D" and "B" anyway, she got back to me saying she wants to combine it with seeing some animals! All I need is a country fair, a prize animal exhibit and I think that'll do the trick! yeah I used to be from canberra btw!!! cheers
  4. hmmm, getting some interesting replies...still undecided though - and the annoying thing about her is that she's sooooo not spontaneous too. some times I think is she playing games with me or what?! haha I was thinking of learning some ww2 jokes Well, as it is, I'm thinking i'm going to have to get a pic of her...and she's got the mad german accent too....mmm nice! cheers
  5. Hi guys.. I met this german girl the other week and she's a bit of the quiet sort, but I suspect that she may have some inhibitions that I need to overcome to turn her wild! Anyway, I want to take her somewhere this weekend, but i've got no clue where to start. I didn't want to go away, becuase I was going to save that for the easter long weekend..anyway I was trying to think of something fun we could both do without spending too much money with a little privacy, but public enough so she'd feel comfortable, and where we could basically spend time with each other hmmm...any ideas? much appreciated!
  6. Hey guys, About a week ago, someone side swiped me and left a scratch right down the right hand side of my car. Luckily there is no major damage - there is no (visible) panel damage, just seems a coat of paint is all that's required but I'm not too sure. What sort of place do I go to do these sorts or repairs and quotes because i'm going through the other persons insurer? thx guys
  7. Damn, that sounds like a good fix, might try it in a min thanks for all the replies guys
  8. haha yeah you guessed right..I wouldn't know might wait to see what other ideas pop up then go ee him with a better picture
  9. Hey guys just wanted to ask some advice. I park my car on a slight incline, so that the front is higher than the back of the car. Every time I start it in the morning, after a few seconds, there's a horrible screeching sound coming from the engine, then the screech stops, and the revs increase a little then settle down after about a second to the normal rev range for idle. I'm not quite sure what this was, i thought it was low power steering fluid or something so I topped that up, but now that that's ok I'm not sure, because if I drive off too soon, the moving off process causes some slight screeches too...thanks in advance
  10. thanks guys, i'll just add that item to the rego and insurance bills due right about now...
  11. Hey guys, I think i've got a leak somewhere but I seem to be constantly out of power steering fluid...well it's always ay a pretty low level.. Anyway, was wondering what the correct fluid should be so i can top up..just done a search and couldn't find any useful results.. cheers
  12. hey mate, i got mine done at unique autosports since i'm in sydney, and changed the water pump at the same time. cost all up i think $1400-ish...can't quite remember i'll check tonight..
  13. i think you're right on the money, i had the timing belt and water pump replaced a few months ago and they probably forgot to plug it back in.. and yes i was going to plug it back in but i just wasn't sure what it would've really done thanks for the feed back guys!
  14. well that's what i thought too but the temp gauge is working..
  15. hey guys, i can't believe i've had my car for almost a year now and i only JUST noticed that i have a little green plug up front that's unplugged!! Everything in the car works ok, except for my boost gauge...but i'm confused as to wtf that little green thing is supposed to do?! is it simply the connector to make the boost gauge work? i didn't just want to plug it back in without knowing what it's supposed to do first...
  16. too right!
  17. yeah that's what it was supposed to be...don't know what went wrong there thanks for the replies guys
  18. I used to really love alpine because I had a kick ass system in my last car, but since i put a pioneer in my current one i've been quite happy with it. i think it's a 3551?? Bought around christmas last year for $369 and it's a pretty decent deck with mp3 and an equaliser and remote
  19. if you're after a high quality oil, Motul definately. Mine is stock at the moment, but after i had the major service done to it, all fluids gear, diff, engine were all replaced with Motul and I couldn't believe I could actually feel the difference in driving, especially in the gear stick!
  20. yeah, when I took my car for the 100 Mm major service to replace the timing belt I also had my water pump done because it's right at the front and saves having to take off all the belts and lift the thing out again. Also adds another nice new shiny part to the engine so that's nice in itself :-)
  21. Thanks guys, thats been great info, cause i bought my car in september but don't get to drive too often since I'm working in the city so just started doing stuff to it. Anyway, Sydneykid, how do I go about getting a group deal for the shocks? I'd be pretty interested in the Bilsteins deal if you could hook something up if they're around the $900 mark fitted. I'm in sydney too hopefully i can get something sorted out. Just need to confirm price, shocks etc. cheers
  22. Hi all I took my car for a major service (which ended up costing close to $1800) about 3 weeks ago and the guys there told me that I need to replace my shocks since they're all worn out. Anyway, just wondering if any of you guys had yours replaced and how much it cost for parts and labour and what brand? I need all four replaced and I'm on a budget...not a winning combination Thanks all!
  23. poor bastard, good luck with it

    R.i.p

gee..talk about a big footprint ha I was up in queensland with some mates a few weeks ago and I was driving, saw this thing in the middle of the road, crawling sooo slowly....makes it rather easy to avoid it. Turtle.
  25. hey thanks for the help fellas! Guess what..day before yesterday, I had given up and I thought may as well get it towed or get an auto electrician to come out. Then luckily my mum asks me to get something from the garage and just out of the blue I thought, "why not?" and I decided to try starting it... I could hardly belive the next few seconds..the engine started and I was wide eyed and cheering! I couldn't belive it...and I still don't know exactly what's going on. I think MANWHOR3/Mr Italy! were on the right track though 'cause on xmas day I tried again, and I re-grounded with my own, instead of using the existing one. Then, I used a multimeter to measure the battery directly at it's terminals with the key turned to the Acc position with the stereo on (which worked but just didn't start) then measured it at the wiring when my stereo was connected..then when I tried to start the car, there would always be a huge voltage drop which never returned to the normal level until I disconnected the -ve terminal on the battery and reattached it after a few seconds. oh well...I'm just happy it works now.. happy new year fellas
