  1. in nsw ur NOT allowed to have ANY pod filter UNLESS it has been and got a drive by and stationary noise test for induction noise!!!!!!! and it ain't cheap!!!! i've been done a few times and there is noway out of it!!!!,yeh some coppers might not give a sh*t but when it comes down to the law u can't have a pod filter unless it's been approved by nsw rta.
  2. re-cored,like cut the two ends off and and put a whole new fin and tube part in the middle,i need the solid bits on eather side of the tube and fins b'cos the blitz intercooler uses the oringal piping,i hope that explains it well enough if not get back to me and i'll try to explain abit better,thanks heap for the help,i'm really not looking forwad on paying $1000 for a new one i've allready had to replace the whole front end myself (no insurance) b'cos of alittle front end ding,so yeah not to much money to throw around at the moment. they don't have to be in newcastle i'll send it anywhere to get fixed,again thanks heaps

  4. as topic states does anyone know where i could get my intercooler re-coiled near newcastle?it's a blitz lm so i'm not to keen on spending a $1000 for a new one,thanks people

  6. hi all i have a mate thats just brought a 33 gtr from a car yard in sydney,and it has a fair few mods on it and we have no idea wots been done to it,here's just a few things. 1,fuel system majorly upgraded i think theres a extra 2 fuel pumps in the boot. 2,haltec ignition,it looks really dodgy the way they have set this up, 3,no afm's sposed to be using some map sensor to do it????? 4,none of the gauges in the dash work,boost etc?????? 5,2 xtr garret's with m24 written on the side of them,what are these turbo's? how much boost are they rated at????? 6,brass button clutch im sure there's alot more done to this car it goes like a rocket!!!!! so if anyone out there can offer some help we would really be thankful,mick

  10. ahh your from newy.. go into destoj his the bloke who fixed mine up,he usally has a few afm's laying around aswell that he could prob lend youif thats the prob,h'ell find out what is wrong with it,i was taking mine to turbotechnics for about 2 months and they didn't fix crap
  11. i get someone to put to put one of those testing computer thingy's on,mine was doing the same thing,cleaned afm still done it,then they put this computer on it and watched the air flow threw it,and after awhile he could see that it was dropping in power after a rev,(mind you the bloody car didn't play up at all the 3 times i took it there) put after putting that computer on it he found the prob within 10mins,swapped afm no probs at all now,hope that helps(sorry i cant think of the name of that computer he used)

  13. its a rb25det and its done 104 thou k's,so you reckon throw some new rings in it soon? as far as i know its only running standad boost

  17. ok well,in one side of the intercooler it had alittle bit of oil and in the other it was very clean no a trace of oil,is this all normal,im not saying it was flowing out or anything but there is abit comeing out of one of the pipes going to the intercooler. my car was running fine brfore my front end "ding" and even after that it's just that i noticed it once i pulled the cooler off(mind you it hasn't been taken off since imported) i'm just starting to figure out these turbo cars (used to drive the good old trusty 308's) just making sure everything is hunky dorey
  18. ok sweet i was going to clean it anyway and pressure test it to make sure theres no leaks,so where does the oil come from?
  19. hi all,i was just wondering if there is sposed to be oil in the intercooler? i had a little frontend "ding" the other day and when i pulled my intercooler off it had oil in it,just wondering if its sposed to be there,cheers mick

Your f*$king kidding arn't you slim??? i done the very same thing yesterday i sydney on river road comming of the m5,lucky i could drive it home though cos i live in newcastle,but still the money its going to cost to fix it is just a pain in the ass!!!!!!(by the way i was on my way to meet a fellow member to pick up a reo bar) looks like i really need to fit it now haha.

  22. i have a hq 4door monaro,fair bit of rust in assorted places,308 bored out 85 thou 70/30 cam yella terra heads 650 carby(hasn't been driven since engine rebuild spent $1700 on rebuild and plus $1000 for the yella terra heads),1/2 roll cage,4 speed manual,currently not going,i kinda just threw everything in it and havent even tuned it yet,it was going to be my street car but then i brought my skyline so its kinda just been sitting in the shed,if your interested just send me a pm
