  1. there is another block that can be used, but it does require a fair ammount of work to the block to be able to adopt a twin cam head,its do-able and it weighs about 30ks heavier than a standard rb30 block, the cylinder walls are a shitload thicker than a conventional rb30 block and will last well over the 1000 wheel hp mark..... this particular block comes with piston oil squiters. 2jz is in trouble now....

  10. hi, im at the stage at getting the wiring into my s15 wiv 26/30.... now i was planning to use a d jetro, but am unsure if i can use it wiv all the soleniods i have taken off the manifold and other bits and pieces... im fully unaware if you can run a d jetro without say like the idle control gear under the manifold and other stuff like that.... if i take off the idle control gear will this affect me using teh d jetro or should i go with a full sm4 which can control all this without thoes valves and solenoids??? does the sm4 need this stuff aswell???? im fully confused.. sofar i have a complete 32 gtr harness and thats about all... any light shed on the topic is appreciated... id rather use a d jetro as its more straight forward but dunno if you can do what im asking... cheers denis

  12. its abit late now, the motor is prertty much built... car will be used for drag and some street cruises, not a everyday car may see the road once a week... im unsure of your comments as ive spoken to afew people that have done it and they say it does fit.... i guess there is only 1 way to find out... also the sump is custom so it wont drag on the ground... sofar i have put solid steel spacer plates inbetween the cross member and bottom of the chassis which are 10mm thick, hopefully using the brackets ive been told to use will help, but if not it will have to go custom brackets, im not changing engines, sr20 are shit, thats why i threw it away.
  13. any h beam rod is rated to the 1000hp mark so i don't know what you are all talking about.... its the rod bolt that must be a good quality item...... the only way it would throw a rod thru you block would be a shitty build or the rod bolt has let go.... and that's the only reason, you will never bend a h beam rod unless it comes down to massive pinging or hydraulic lock.... end of story and if it does ping, it will loosen the rod bolts anyways...
  14. we will see in 3 weeks if it fits... if not i was given another combo, r33 x member, rb20 engine brackets and rb30 engine mounts... if not i must use all this and space the x member 10mm lower for clearence for teh stock bonnett to close... s15 has a fairly decent sized engine bay... id say close to a skyline.. poeple hav fit 26's into them no worries, so we should be able to scrape 38mm somwhere
  15. just been confirmed... it fits... you must use rb25 engine brackets.. then you mate them up with rb30 engine mounts

  18. i am currently doing this conversion and am using a r32 cross member and planning to use vl engine mounts?? will this be suitable and will the stock bonnet close with the motor in??? also i will be running a rb25 box and i have bashed the tunnel out so it fits, does anybody know if the shifter will come out the standard hole??? thanks for help.. denis
  19. i have a 30/26 with pretty much everything done to it, very close to full assembled, and am not sure if i should uprgade the intake plenum to aftermarket wit a big single throttle or just keep the stock 26 system.... ive heard the 6 throttles have more cross sectional area and flow more than 1 100mm throttle but am still unaware what i should do.... should i go hypertune?? greddy bolt on ?? custom or stock??? thanks denis

  22. if i break a block (rb30/26) coz my engine builder says its the weakest point for the package now, what can i do to strengthen it now??? half resin filled?? it owes me areoun 17,000 g now aswell
  23. i recon you can turn a n1 engine to 15,000rpm... try it
