lol AL, thinking of this post you made. Hose is connected to the turbo actuator, has to be air . Unless there is something drastically wrong, then this will be the least of his problems. hbs2jh Good luck with the car mate, i hope it's just a small repairable seal or somthing like that. I suppose it's a good thing that you have cought it while it's just a small leak. Let us know how it turns out.

Does it seem like the liquid is comming out of the hose or is it falling onto the hose from somwhere else? Sounds like OIL to me. Check your OIL and COOLANT lvl's to see if they are dropping, if they you have found what's leaking, just need to find where.

hmm, how did it effect your cornering and your low speed turning ? Did you notice it alot ?

But has anyone ever got theirs fixed or know what causes the problem ?

I wasn't sure if he was trying to point out some fluid on the pipe or just saying that area has a hose leak. Also I just saw the pics of your 2 beasts Al verry nice. Good Ol Purple one wins hands down lol.

I don't know exatly the tech specs of HICAS however I was told once by a nissan tech that if my HICAS was to fail and / or stop functions it would effect the entire steering of the car and feel like a power steering loss. From what he told me it is costly to get fixed and MIGHT be worth just disabling it if it's faulty (involves quite a bit). You might check if their is a FUSE or controller for bot the Pwr Steering and HICAS it that has blown. Have you checked all the engine fuses? Sorry if none of this helps but all the knowlage I have :|

Hi guys, I have a R33 GTS-T and was wondering how many other R33 owners have disabled their HICAS? I have taken my car the the skid pana couple of times and it much prefers to understear in the wet due to the HICAS. Has anyone disabled theirs and how much did it cost? Also has anyone had any specific problems with their HICAS? Just wondering cause in my daily run it helps alot at low speed but not so sure while i'm going 120k's and the road turns, feels somtimes more like it's going sideways then turning (as in back wheels turning with the front).

Hi, I don't know alot about the dash of my car due to never needing to look around in there If i was to buy one of these what else would be needed to actually install them ? Or can you use the rest of the parts from your existing dash ?

Hi again guys, Dunno if any of you read my previous post but it looks like i get to keep my car and leave it a manual. I have 2 questions though. The syncros in 2nd are pretty bad, the gear it's self is fine but as you pull into it it's .. well clunky. It's been that way since i got the car last year, where is a good place to get it fixed and should i even bother to fix it or wait for the whole thing to die ? Also i have read previouse posts about running 100 octain petrol, i always use premium petrol, however how do i know if the previous owner of my car got it re turned for lower petrol ? Thanks again. I have a R33 GTS-T series 1 and I don't think my car looks ugly. It does have a kit/mags and exhause but still.

ECR033, the reason i prefer to mod it is because I know the history of my current car, with the exception of the syncros in 2nd gear being a little weird there has never been a fault with my car for the past 2 years. I was planning on keeping this car till it fell apart, however it looks like i might have to sell it . ------------ LBFALCON, That would be great , however finding somone who wants to convert their car and finding a shop that could convert both cars at the same time would be a problem due to the fact that both cars would be out of action during the parts exchange. But I will still need info on who could do the conversion even if i can get the parts because I doubt I could do it by myself.

Well long story short, my mum and I have to swap cars, i need her car for my new job until things get back to normal and her manual driving is.... well you can guess, so it's AUTO or SALE....

Hi Guys, I'm new to posting here however I read the fourms all the time for great advice. I know your all wondering WTF is he crazy converting from manual to auto but it's a possition i'm forced into. I really don't want to but it's only planned to be temperary IE 2-3 years) but it has to happen or I loose the car!!!! and that's MUCH worse. I've read the post on the auto to manual converts and i will assume from that posting i will need to change: Drive Shaft ECU Diff Dash Does anyone have advice, and know any places around sydney that could perform this convert for me, I live around liverpool (Out West). Also where i could get the parts i need if i have to purchase them before the convert is to happen. EDIT: LOL sorry forgot to add my car is a Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T, Boost has been uppped to 12pounds and I have an BOV if that changes anything Thanks, Steve.
