I recently took my turbo off an got my oil and water lines lines cleaned, when I put my turbo back on ( a spare 1 i had which i needed to get oil to the core ) I warmed up the car and oil got through the turbo all fine but then smoke was comin from near the turbo somewhere so i turned the car off ( i thought it was just oil burning from where some spilled when i filled the core up. But on sunday I went for a short drive i came back opened up my hood and smoke wascoming from near the turbo again (burnt oil smoke can smell it) and oil was everywhere in the engine its gone through my atmo bov sprayed on the firewall and all over my inlet pipe and coilpack cover. Is this maybe that I have filed the core to much and it just keeps puchin to much oil through the turbo and its comin out everywhere or maybe something else? The car hasnt lost any oil pressure on the guage or heated up anymore, or lost any power. What do you guys reckon? Nick

Hey just wondering if i were to buy 17 x 8 1/2 +32 offset with 215 45 r17 would they fit on the front and back of a 32 thats been lowered bout 2inchs? There are also spaces that come with the wheels to fit over the brakes at the front, but im worried bout the guards if they will rub the back brakes should easily fit shouldnt they? Nick

I recently bought some brake pads for my 32 gtst but they are completly differnet. Is there any difference between the gts an gtst brake pads as the guy recons that they are from a gts but should also fit other 32s, or is this guy just full of sh1t and should i get my money back

I was just wondering if a vl turbo bolts onto the rb20 manifold? Also would it be a good upgrade if its a hiflow vl turbo?

Yeh I saw it and its not ment to drag race its from G-Tech and the car has balls its a handful i see him come down the street near my work an i bet most peoplke would have a hard time driving it as when it hits boost its all over the road. I was surprised on his first coupling attemps that he was not all over the strip, in my books he is a skilled driver to keep that thing straight

Well light is fixed it was a blocked cat. But turbo still whistles really loud and screams on boost, maybe has shaft play? Nick

Hey, Latley I've had some problems with my Rb20, which all happened after I found out my ignition box ( the one that sits on top of the spark plug cover) shat itself . I took it to my mechanic and found out i needed a new fuel pump as well, he fixed everything and all was well. But recently when i start my car, after priming the fuel pump the light on my dash that looks like a cat converter with steam will stay on, but only until I get on the highway, where it dissappears when im accelerating but when i change gears and the revs drop slightly the light will appear again. But once I have got to 100km/h the light goes away. But its not everyday that it does it and sometimes it will appear dim under light acceleration, but just enough so you can see it. Lastly my turbo is whistling a lot louder, and once when i pushed it before the light started to come on was makin a screaming noise oin high boost (which is still at stock 7psi). Lastly to add when the light is on the car feels as if it has boost all of a sudden it kicks in and out of bosst in low revs before it shouild be boosting like 1/5 - 2000rpm and it feels sluggish you put you foot down and the car dosent move, but this is only in the first few minutes then the cars drives normal again. : Any help will be much appreciated Thanks Nick

I was just wondering if twin wastegates help in performance for an RB20 upgrade. The kit in question is a HKS TO4E with a cast manifold and twin 38mm external wastegates, one of which has been welded to the manifold using a small piece of pipe. Is this extra manifold just there for sound or does it actually help in the performance for the upgrade? Cheers Nick

Its mild steel with a stainless rear muffler and tips. Now it has a small bit of overspray on top of the raer muffler which cant be seen went bolted up as its on top ive also scraped away a fair bit, centre muffler has a few scratches and tips on the bottom both have scratches.
