  1. Up you go... We still need a few more people. From hearing about some of the cars that are going to be involved this is going to be good fun..
  2. Is this VG30 from the 300zx twin turbo setup or the single setup?
  3. Biggest problem would be the gearbox, tailshafts, diff, suspension and brakes would all be suited to alot less powerful engine. That means you'd have to replace everything mentioned. Smells like expensive to me...
  4. Just had the training information for this Sunday. It's running from 11am till 12pm and we'll be hearing from the clerk of courses for Targa Tasmania. Come down and get involved if you can. Cam
  5. *shudder*
  6. Looks like you've got an identity crisis comming up..
  7. I would like to add to my outrageous story that it is not true and anything I say on these forums is a complete an utter lie.. Also after re-reading my post, I feel I have it wrong saying the police have a choice in what they do as they're just trying to do their job - however some with more zealous than others when it comes to the car scene. I do however stand by the comment that ACA is running the state. How else could WA end up the way it is...
  8. Hi all again.. Just an update on this. I've just been to the first training and it looks like we should be very close to the action. If any of you can give up some time to support this event I'd urge you to give it a go. Masahiro/Col - good to meet you guys. See you at the next meet. Shame I didn't get to check out your FD Col - I've had an unhealthy hankering for an FD for a while now.. Morlock - didn't meet you there - though hopefully will next time. Cam
  9. What happened to free speech? There is no way that prosecution can come from some internet nerd (such as myself) telling random stories. It's like them chasing me down for saying "I was smoking a bomber joint, whilst planning a terroist attack and driving my car backwards the wrong way down a one way street doing 180km/hr in a school zone at 3:30pm." As if.... Sad that the police force deem it necessary to actually spend time looking at this rather than being out there and catching the real wrong doers like thieves, rapists and murderers. Sounds like ACA is running the state.. /rant
  10. Hi all, I'm helping to get hold of chicane officials for Taga West in September. Presently there is only 8 teams of officials and we need another 10 to be able to cover this event. Chicanes are required to keep the stage average speed below 132km/h as required by CAMS and the FIA. WA does not have that many tight twisty roads (compared to Tassie for example) so we will need between 16 to 19 teams to set-up the required number of chicanes for the event, something like about 75 in total over the 4 days. Each chicane team will be made up of 3 people, one is the senior post marshal SPM (you!), another is the bollard replacement marshal (BRM) and the last is a flag marshal. Unless you are keen to join up with another person that you know, already on this list, I would like you to think about getting a couple of your friends/family involved so you can be out there with good company and enjoy yourself at the same time. The itinerary shows a few stages are repeated and a few others are spread out across the region, so if you have any preference to either stay in one place (with one set-up) and watch the cars pass you a few times, or travel around (set up, pack away, move, repeat) and see as many different stages as possible. The details for training and events are as follows. Please note that training is not compolsory, so if you can't make both dates you can still be involved. Training - AHG Driver Training Center, Grogan Road, Perth Airport 7th August (Sunday) - 11am 14th August (Sunday) - 11am Chicane Team Meeting - Venue TBA 30th August (Tuesday) - 7:30pm Targa West Event 8th September (Thursday) - 3:30pm to finish 9th September (Friday) - 7:30am to finish 10th September (Saturday) - 8:00am to finish 11th September (Sunday) - 8:00am to finish Please contact Mitch Templar on 0418 959 023 or myself via PM to register your interest and he will email you the appropriate forms, itinerary, maps ect. Please get involved if you can.

  16. As long as it doesn't leak it's fine. Put some silicone or something on it if you're worried..
  17. Rolls is right - if it isn't getting enough current it won't throw the gear out. Try checking the terminals. If that doesn't work pulling it out is only two bolts.
