thought about magnet thingy - wouldn't have been able to get it past the exhaust impellor....

bolts came off easily enough... well the ones between the turbo and manifold did... the ones between the dump and cat didn't... they were way tight.. ended up snapping one and drilling it out...

terminal?!? i meant turbo!! idiot! hehe

nah - gasket was buggered so we just undid it to place the new gasket in... then a bit of the gasket fell into the terminal!! doh!! soooo off came the turbo to get the gasket out...

heehhe - she's getting worse.. way funny... putting on turbo - zanda has to.. we had to take it off.. long story!

hmm ok.. will check it out adam.. hopefully it'll be something that simple - but I don't think so.. the way it was behaving was basically that it couldn't work out how much boost to give.. was up and down like a yoyo under load....

nah - not licensed yet - so we have the time to do things to it.. i'm not looking to buy and EVC, already have one.. just want someone who can fix it! as for buying one to use for parts - don't think i'd know what i was doing enough to be playing around with it!

Doh - so you did.. Not suprised you were upset. Wierd that it happened to a few cars. One would've thought that increased atmospheric pressure would mean more airflow - so maybe higher boost levels? That may have done it if you were running right on the wire at atmospheric? Maybe they should hold the dyno shootout outside next time? Bugger for EVL R33 - hope he's ok. His car was lookin real nice..

it's alex's car and we're putting it back together tonight.. should be vroom vroom by about 8pm me thinks... took longer cause he's taken the opportunity to put on a dump pipe while the turbo is off the car...
