  1. Troy/Dan/Joe - good work! Hurrah for mods!
  2. Niz - I don't think this thread is all about you.. Chill... Paul - I think that's what Troy is trying to say.. am interested to see a mod's answer to my question above though.. Guys?
  3. Hmmm. I think names should be removed from here Niz.. Getting the thread back on topic - Troy, would it make you job easier to just delete/edit offending posts with "comments not suitable" or something like that? I can imagine you can't please everyone and I don't think people are complaining about what you are doing at all - I think the thread was just started to bring some understanding to the mod process.. Keep up the good work mods..
  4. chris - I've got some old stock rotors I'm willing to part with... let me know if you'd be interested..
  5. Hmm - wonder what sort of $$ this would go for?
  6. Hipsi - good call.. Liz - extra good call.. why wait for the meeting..
  7. Jason - didn't evolution R muck about a bit before it got it's act together to provide the dials for the last group buy? or am I wrong and should be told to shut up?
  8. man - bummer, that sucks hard! hope it turns out at least semi ok for you.....
  9. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! *faints* Luckily you said apparently.. I refuse to believe it until I see it with my own eyes!
  10. hmmm could be the makings of a good plan here Jas & Niz... I know a road.. a special road that everyone will love... somewhere that the mighty skylores can roam free!!!
  11. sorry mate.. sourced a stock one el cheapo style... couldn't have afforded yours at the moment anyways - unless you wanted to give it to me for like $800 or something..
  12. not sure - haven't had a chance to drive mine much since I fitted the new turbo as i got shipped up to a minesite.. but I'd imagine the s2 is better.. you'd think anyway.. it won't be a fair comparison from mine as my s2 was pretty shagged to begin with...
  13. King is wrong. Have a look at this thread about me blowing up a S2 turbo, pics are towards the bottom of the page - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=33696 It is complete with pictures of the turbo compressor wheels from both a S1 and S2 turbo. Both have a ceramic exhaust wheel. The S1 turbo has a single blade compressor wheel whilst the S2 turbo has a twin bladed compressor wheel.
  14. that no so good man... we'll have to sort something when I get back to Perth... Red - i take back my recommendation!
  15. oooohhhh - those IT guys are way scary! hehehehe..
  16. LOL... agreed Dan.. I know what you're saying about ppl spending a fortune on parts that aren't important but not much on those that are. I think alot of it is a combination understanding of whats going on under your seat (not just under the bonnet) and "out of sight, out of mind".. *sigh*
  17. Depends what you want I guess.. Something thats fast, or something that's almost as fast and comfy... I'd go the GTR, but only cause I hate Lancers..
  18. Dan - I disagree with you here. Never had a fading problem with Bendix Ultimate - maybe the slotted rotors are helping that. Bendix Advance however are shit - definitely agreed there.. I agree with XRW on the metal pads issue. No point putting them on a daily driven car. Warm up issues and chewing out brake rotors, etc... BUT if you drive everywhere in a manner that needs them and have lots of spare $$ then sure, I guess it's a good idea.. Depends what suits really. BUT - for a young guy (13_devil) who probably doesn't have huge amounts of $$ to be replacing his brakes all the time, I'd say Bendix Ultimate would be the way to go.
  19. Bendix Ultimate is what you want.. careful on what the coventry/repco guys pick out of the catalogue as the current Bendix catalogue is wrong. Take in your old pads or trace the outline onto a piece of paper if you can as a sample as the catalogue has real life size pics. From memory, I think the right shaped pads are under the heading of a R31 - but only because the catalogue is wrong!
  20. Red - One of the windscreen places should be able to put a new seal on it... Novus know how to do it I think..
  21. Me wanna go... Damn you mine plant... damn you to hell!
  22. I wouldn't be getting rid of the HICAS.. Tyrepower in Canning Vale can align the 4ws properly - they've had enough practice with pauls car.. BUT - I would agree with red - it's a wheel balance problem by the sounds - not an alignment problem..
  23. Jason - I can be there in about 4-5 days weather permitting...
  24. Possible damage to the oxygen sensor? Thats the only thing that would've been messed with on the exhaust right? Unless yours has a sensor in the cat like some R33's do. Have a look under the car in about the middle of the passenger's seat. If there's a grommet in the floor and nothing sticking out of it, check uder the carpet - you may find a wire going to nowhere. I'm not sure if either of these things could be causing your problems, but they are the only sensors I know of in the exhaust..
  25. Thatnks Paul. Wednesday would be better. Am going to fly back Tuesday night (if we don't get rained in here) and then take Wednesday off. I'll be back at work on Thursday.. Thanks again mate..
