Two.06l Update (twoogle)
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Good question Roy, i must be careful what i say about this subject but here goes... We trusted our car with another workshop to have some work done (custom fabrication work) Their work practices were far from what i expected from them. To cut a long story short, they allowed the freshly built engine to become unsealed and during their work some metal shavings/swarf entered the engine. The engine then had to be removed again, stripped, rebuilt and re-installed. I must stress this workshop was NOT Croydon Racing Developments. -
Starting to get our car sorted... Finalised the run-in on Friday (did a Sydney>Newcastle>Sydney drive) this was on top of the initial dyno run-in at Croydon's and put a bit of boost in it late friday night. @22 psi on Croydons 4WD dyno it easily pumped out 461KW with the rich run-in tune in the Power FC. This was with BP ultimate 98...so with a decent (read:leaner) tune and Shell 100 in the tank i can see a figure of 500KW+ achieveable, yes over 500kw with low-mounts on pump gas. That should silence a few of the "big single" naysayers...hehe We took the car to Newcastle Autosalon on Saturday and put it in the dyno shootout, with only 10psi we made just over 350kw to be in 1st place for Sundays finals. I turned it back up to 22psi and with the heat of the day and an exhibition hall full of exhaust gas from the other finalists (not ideal conditions) we made 450KW! This was enough to secure victory in the dyno catergory and win another 4 trophy's including the prestigious "Tough as nails" trophy for toughest car at the show. This is by far above our expectations and a real shock to Jim and the boys at Croydon's who were unsure if this direction (sticking with twin low-mounts) we were taking with this combo would make the numbers. With race fuel and the NOS in it, it should be abosolutely ballistic. 600kw here we come. We would like to thank Jim Souvas and all the boys at CRD for all their hard work, knowledge and patience. Racing the car this Wednesday night if all goes well. ill keep you posted Paul

My mate Glen was doing well for a 1st timer after day one (both driver and co-driver were in the top ten) but broke the front hub and clutch to put them out.

its in the car at Croydon Racing so i don't have access to it right now but... its a 2004 model from memory and is compatible with the current Excel laptop software (unlike earlier models) its been the ecu in our race car and would not even have 20hrs clocked up on it (zero road use, track and dyno only) only selling due to upgrade to Autronic SM4

Power FC is L-jetro (afm ) model is virtually brand new and comes with matching FC Commander (hand controller) Power FC PRO has the two-step rev limiter / launch control function featuring ignition cut instead of fuel cut like most "normal" Power FC's The "PRO" is no longer available and is a highly sought after item. Z32 AFM's have had a couple of hours dyno time and travelled 800mtrs (two drag passes) if you include the return road and pit entry and exit 2000mtrs. Bee-R revlimiter is in as new condition and is a good mate for a regular Power FC that does not have ignition cut function. **********PRICE's***************** Power FC and hand controller $800 Power FC PRO $1300 Z32 AFM's $220 ea Bee-R revlimiter SOLD *******FIRM NO OFFERS************* *********ATTN ALL ITEMS LEFT ARE ON HOLD DUE THEM BEING REQUIRED TILL THE END OF NEXT WEEK 14 SEPT********

you can use for RB20 if you run GTR injectors, resistor pack and also bridge the AFM inputs together. -

Rb26 In 2000 Model Jeep...edit. Now In R32 Gtr
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
9.99 would do...hehe dont forget im actually "driving" the car...i.e. using a clutch and changing gears with a synchro gearbox. Mark Jacobsen is confident the car should be good for 9.7's -

Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah at 23psi they are only just starting to stretch their legs. Peak torque or very close to it, is available for around 5000rpm of the rev range. This is the part thats most impressive and gives me a huge spread of useable power, only driver error will have this thing off boost during a run. -

Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah (see previous post) but also with 11psi less boost. We could have put 2 bar into it, pressed it a bit harder and seen how much it made on pump...but just shy of 600hp at the treads is enough for a street tune. the engine sounds extremely strong and has a cranky attitude to it...on full noise its unbelieveable. nitrous is yet to be used also -

car made around 440+ AWKW on pump gas (BP98) at 23psi, this is the same power as before but previous was 34psi and C16 race fuel. This shows the massive gains we have made....the torque curve makes the car look very impressive. race fuel tuning this weekend and a bit more boost. first runs at WSID on sunday 22nd July. its getting very close now can't wait -
