  1. We are fitting the engine Thursday nite...pipework fabrication over the weekend...and hopefully tuned and ran in next week. Will be testing at the track the week after next if all goes to plan.
  2. yes.. 1mm Im not mucking around with this build...its gotta run the numbers.
  3. yeah its been a long haul...but worth the wait as an awesome job has been done...will have inlets up tomm.
  4. The dented pipe is the front pipe...it has the dent to clear the inlet pipe of the rear turbo...mine has a crease too, its just a bit neater than yours
  5. Ben Ellis did this conversion in his GT-T...dig up some old HPI mags or ring him at Otomoto for info.
  6. ill race when you sell me those squirters.
  7. When is Theo and Shane Crichton gonna grow some balls and race in Sport Mod ?
  8. Yeah we are running STD diff and axles...a good trick is to paint a thin white line on the axles....check them every now and then too see how much they have twisted. We will continue to run it like this till it breaks. I believe Mark Jacobsen was running a stock set-up too until just recently without any trouble.
  9. yes...what happened ??
  10. the new engine is sitting in the back of our Jeep....not in the engine bay of the Skyline....due to components being held up at customs in a shipment we could not get the engine assembled in time. We finished assembly yesterday.
  11. did anyone get booted for being too good ?
  12. 8's are beckoning...all the best for Mini Jam mate.
  13. the MPH is actually pretty ordinary....he missed a gear at the end of the run hence the poor MPH. normally for a GTR to run a low 10 you need to be up around the 135 mark this thing will do a 9 sec pass easy considering the ET. there is certainly better to come from this car.
  14. Is a two-step launch control ignition cut avail.?
  15. ive been at Newcastle Airport watching the F-18 hornet pilots going through their routines. AWESOME
  16. must have been the bloke who did mine...lol
  17. Just got our head heavily ported, oversized valves, and matched. Croydons sent it to someone who does all the port work on their "big" engines (GTR-700, RH9, JUN, DEVLSH etc). BUT..... it was sent there well before Xmas and only got it back a couple of weeks ago.
  18. Exactly As i said before...our car was almost UNDRIVEABLE...with only 2530's...chuffing its guts out at light throttle especially up hills. Tuned by Jim Souvas at Croydons...fixed... NOTHING ELSE on the car was touched...NOT the blow off valves...NOT the wastegates...NOT the airflow meters. JUST THE BLOODY ECU. get it tuned. (if you need a near new power fc and hand controller i have one for sale..PM me) p.s. with larger low mounts i.e. HKS GT-RS turbo's on a 2.6ltr its more difficult to completely tune it out. Yes even Jim had trouble tuning it out of our car. With the increased capacity of a larger bore and stroke this problem can be overcome.
  19. ike, Gav and rev210 are well versed in this field...id recommend that you read what they say carefully as their knowledge may save you some time and net some gains to your setup. Good luck with it and keep us informed of your results. I too have had marked gains by correctly "dialing in" aftermarket cams with vernier gears in both response and outright power.
