  1. its not the BOV's...to prove a point disconnect the vaccum line to them and block it so you don't have a manifold leak, then go for a light throttle drive up a long hill....i bet it still happens. Its the compressed air from the larger turbo's surging back out the intake through the AFM's. You would not be on the throttle hard enough to generate boost, so the BOV would not even operate. Ash ive had 2530's chuff so bad the car was almost undrivable....quick tune at Croydon's...magic...all gone! Stock GTR BOV's are very good ive even seen them on hard tuned Supra's
  2. don't worry it can be tuned out
  3. No, not sure of the fella's name but he was the commentator for the Group A world touring car championship rounds in Europe.
  4. yes info on how to convert to RB20 R32 can be found here http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/
  5. Croydon both sells and tunes this product...Jim seems to have nothing but good things to say about the Emanage...esp the Emanage ultimate.
  6. Ben, turbo's still up for grabs?? $400 and ill pick em up
  7. its production music and its unavailable
  8. Just by taking fuel out from 5500rpm onwards should see it come alive in the top end. ive got a Power FC and hand controller for sale of you need it. PM me if you want it
  9. Stace prefers a bit of tyre slip on launch, the M/T's will bite too hard and bog the engine. The federals are a lot more stable in the side wall which does not cause the car to "wander" as much. The Mickey's will be on hand if needed later in the day.
  10. We are in and paid...but not on Adams list on the 1st page... This is the debut of the new set-up...11 months in the making...detuned for Stacey running pump fuel, low boost, federal street rubber and no NOS...will be fun and enough to see her running a low 11 sec pass...after lunch we may wind a bit more into it if all is going well and see if she can run a high 10 and get booted.
  11. 9.2 from memory...MPH was around the low 150's
  12. good post Roy, have you been able to obtain well made caliper offset brackets. Gary...You answered my question by elaborating in your next post...thank you. Now here's two more...what is the ideal hydraulic ratio? how is it calculated?
  13. Very informative post...but...whats the point of it if you don't tell him how to overcome the issues you have addressed. Id like to know as well.
  14. Brock openly admitted the "dayglo" livery used on the Marlbro group C cars at Bathurst was the finest looking race car he's ever seen/driven. id say the did the livery for Pete.
  15. You make the silly mistake of assuming im a Holden fan...i was only pointing out an incident which looked a little sus. Nothing more. I drove an R/T charger when i was a teenager and drive a GTR now...i have a little more refinement in my vehicle taste to bother with tarted up hire cars.
  16. Jim Berry race clutch can rebuild it...send it there
  17. Did anyone other than myself notice Bargwanna park his 15 lap down car on the track with 10 laps to go, so the safety car could be deployed to allow his fellow ford driver Courtney to catch up to Kelly. Id like to see the telemetry from that car to prove my point.
  18. Yeah i have the same...dunno why the Winfield cars are dearer as the 91 cars are the ones that actually won Bathurst and completed the race.
  19. yes you are correct, until recently i had engineered the car all on my own...engine building, modification, research and development. With CRD tuning the combinations i put together (with great success too i might add). The last 12 months has seen our relationship with CRD expand to the point where they have included their knowledge in our engineering decisions, including engine builds and development, they have just completed building our next engine in house at CRD. Currently we are attempting to get our car finalised with new combo trackside next weekend. But due to component delivery delays we will be aiming for the WSID bracket meet on the 17th. If you are interested keep in touch via pm and ill let you know what day we are running, so you can come and check out the new set-up. anyway im here trying to assist Faid with his set-up so..... back on topic please.
  20. i haven't used a poncam in nearly 12 months, and yes oversized valves would be overkill for that application. yes as major sponsor of our racecar CRD includes us in the development and research of OUR engines as well as using/sharing research gained from other cars.
  21. We have noticed a significant improvement in running oversized valves with this sized turbine and camshaft selection. Both in overall power and engine response. i can get you a definate price on valves for you tomm. if you like, they are not as expensive as you may think clearly recutting of the valve seats is required and guide clearance checked
  22. but i would use this set-up with the 1mm oversize valves
  23. yes these would do the job
