Injector Dynamics...they certainly have me impressed. They make a 750cc item that would suit you nicely...we recently put some 1000's in a stock GTR and the fuel delivery was spot on...afr's were rock solid at idle even with varying inlet temps. have a good read of their website Dave and let us know what you think. www.injectordynamics.com

Another E85 Driven Car - D34dly Is Back
Swiper the Fox replied to WARLORD BAS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Vi-PEC plug-in ecu is $1881 inc GST As a side note... we put some new Injector Dynamics 1000cc jobbies in a completely standard car the other day...the Vi-PEC controlled them beautifully. At idle the AFR's didn't jump around at all, i reckon we could have put 2000cc ID injectors in and it would have been just as good. These new injectors we are getting out of the States are the latest technology and when driven by the Vi-PEC are very impressive indeed. -
Andra Vs E85 ... Sign The Petition.
Swiper the Fox replied to Butters's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Dunc's it sticks out like dogs nuts that VP fuels have pressured ANDRA into this...holding their cash for venue and event sponsorship as a ransom until their demands were met. -
yes that is what we have noticed. A couple of engines that we know of have had issues straight fitting them.

Two.06l Update (twoogle)
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
2nd and 16th of Jan. The Bray's are out of our class now but still quite a few 6 sec cars to race against Would be good to see some support for the Nissan's. Hopefully Mark's car will be ready for the event on the 16th...full tilt at the world record is on the cards if we get it finished. -
Oil Pressure Low After Installation Of Components
Swiper the Fox replied to Taso84's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
did you renew the oring on the housing shaft? my guess is its either faulty or missing. -
Two.06l Update (twoogle)
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Had an issue with the new fuel pump...it was leaking due to a faulty seal. Got it rebuilt...now good to go. Tuning next week...racing next weekend. -
not my experience...our guides are always 'finished' after instal. A lot of people do it differently as correctly tooling up to do them the right way costs $800. We will stick to doing it our way...we have never had a problem with the valve picking up on a guide or also an issue with excessive clearance.

I agree Dave something is not right...that is if whats being stated is fact. My T51R SPL BB comes on earlier than these!

So they already told him what was need before it went on the dyno...that wasn't done...the car didn't meet the customers expectations and you blame them for that?...Simple rule here...if your not prepared to listen to the experts and do the things/spend the money where required then you really have only yourself (or your friend in this instance) to blame. As you said after it went on they said..."i told you so". Its always the guys trying to do things on the cheap at CRD who always whinge and its the ones who are prepared to spend the money and follow their instructions that get the results. Customer service? mate its the modified car industry...harden up for gods sake...its not a GTR owners counselling club where they waste their time chatting over coffee. Their no nonsense straight to the point style might not suit everyone, but if if want tea and bisciuts and a good yarn maybe your mate should have headed out west to the nearest CWA meeting. If you want things done right though you would be hard pressed to find a better workshop in Sydney. The 3 workshops in this country id ever take any of my cars to all have this same approach...no bullshit straight shoooters...CRD, Godzilla Motorsport and Racepace. This is the same reason i pick and chose my work...as soon as someone who wants an engine done doesn't want to spend the money to make it work properly and reliably then i suggest to them that they should probably look somewhere else to get it done. My reputation and piece of mind are not worth short-cuts and people who are not prepared to listen. $750 for a tune is great value if you have one of the countries best doing it....some guys with limited experience at some other workshops charge over a grand!. I was paying $750 for a tune there nearly 7 years ago...so Jim hasn't even put his prices up. People used to ask me how i could afford to get CRD to tune my car all the time, i always replied...i cant afford not to go to CRD...engine failures are expensive.

im with you on that one Trent...just didn't want to be the 1st to say it. i laugh at guys having a dig at one of the best GTR workshops on the planet. The calibre of cars to come out of this workshop is top class. I never ask for a dyno sheet also...i generally dont give a crap what the dyno tells me it makes. Its how it performs on the road/track that is a true measure of a cars performance. OK this car has an issue...why come on here and ask?...all you will get is mixed guesses from a heap of guys who in reality know f*ck all. Take it back to CRD and get it all sorted.

Id say you were still well spannered from birthday festivities...my birthday was 5 days before yours and im still not real flash. Ive had to back up on friday for my daughters 16th...but im also a lot closer to 100 than you so ill be doing my best to use that as an excuse.

Have a read of what you typed above...do some thinking...and re-type it. Hopefully you have just been unable to explain yourself properly. If you really believe what is stated above then thats a little embarrasing. I used to rip my actuator lines off, fold the feed line over and cable tie it shut at dyno comps. Max boost max hp...thats why...its the only way to make over 2.5bar on 2530's. The actuators were set with a spring pressure of 17psi.

I have a brand new full counter item available...std stroke. Proven in 1500hp 10000rpm+ application. PM if interested.

Ive been involved with many cars that use the mac valve controlled by the Vi-PEC. Im so impressed with the results ive recently sold my Blitz ID-III bosst controller (widely regarded as the best on the market) to switch to the Vi-PEC. It allows me to run a table that controls the mac valve solinoid that varies/increases the boost in stages based on wheel speed...very good feature!.

Adaptor To Use Ex Gate On Stock Manifold
Swiper the Fox replied to Don Dada's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hole cut in manifold and small pipe section complete with flange welded on...quite simple really and looks very neat. Justin is a top class welder also....he welded a trust TD06 flange on a S14 HKS manifold that we needed to modify last night and you would swear it was done by a robot! -
Adaptor To Use Ex Gate On Stock Manifold
Swiper the Fox replied to Don Dada's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Brisbane RB30 guru's JW Automotive mount GT3540's on not only stock VL turbo manifolds but also have done RB25 manifolds for Godzilla Motorsport. They have given lots of proven results for a considerable amount of time now. They use a Turbosmart external gate mounted along the manifold and a small laser cut spacer plate to give clearance for the turbo. Excellent boost control using this method and have quite a number of cars running 9's and 10's with this set-up. -

Two.06l Update (twoogle)
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
would love to score a run with Victor Bray actually....that would be a blast. Racing someone who you look up to with so much respect and admiration for would be awesome. Would be akin to Duncan racing Jim Richards around Bathurst or Theo Wollett racing Theo Wollett! -
Two.06l Update (twoogle)
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
whenever i feel like scaring myself...its mental on the Toyo road rubber...low boost and 1/2 throttle is all you can really give it without becoming part of the scenery. Since the car has been based in qld i haven't had much of a chance to go cruising in it...but once it goes back home it will be taken for a road run whenever i get time. The car is reasonably well kitted out for road duties as only the rear trims and seat have been removed. It still retains all factory front trims and controls. Even the front and under car sound deadening remains and all the glass is factory as well as power windows. Its pretty much all there except the rear trims and seats as previously mentioned, the air con and the stereo. Its road registered, runs plates, its a full bodied car, is only marginally lighter than a standard car, runs street radials and doesn't use nitrous. It was fully legal to run as a street car in the ANDRA sport compact drag series, the rules were fairly strict and even stated you couldn't remove the roof lining or carpet. Ben Bray 3000hp 2700lb Top Doorslammer vs Paul Diemar 1000hp 3400lb Street GTR Its going to be a massacre!! -
Two.06l Update (twoogle)
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
slicks and NOS have no place on a street car . It will be fun getting smashed by Austraila's best. The sound of a low 6 second doorslammer passing me at the 330ft mark may leave a nasty stain in my racesuit though . -
Two.06l Update (twoogle)
Swiper the Fox replied to Swiper the Fox's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Righteo...just a quick update...new fuel system and wheel speed based boost control system installed. Mark will be back from the states tomm. so it will be on the dyno very soon for tuning. Ive entered the Aust vs USA Nitro funny car 2 event series on the 2nd and 16th of January at Willowbank. They have grouped Super Compact with Competition Eliminator bracket and have me racing dragsters and doorslammers. I have resigned myself to be swiftly knocked out of the 1st round of eliminations as my index for my class (Super Compact AA/SM) is 8.38. Should be good fun racing against some big cars running 6's and 7's. -
