  1. Unknown yet, but we run an autometer warning light and a 30psi hobbs switch to monitor pressure. It was an immediate shutdown, but as you know these things are hard to catch. This engine is over 2 and a half years old and was starting to breathe a little heavy and make "interesting" noises on the dyno in the last 6 months, so it was planned to strip it and freshen it up soon. Tossing up either using a JUN pump or going external single stage dry sump pump scavenging from rear of sump feeding the oil filter at the relocator block...what do ya think??
  2. Yeah SK your dead right mate. The 2530/cams/displacement setup was perfect......tried to launch the car the same as the 2530's and bogged badly off the line. Back at the pits we decided that a 9000rpm off the limiter launch (previously was only 8250) was needed and bang oil pump drive collar is now in two pieces.

All our hard luck was of my own doing...had a 2 piece ATI balancer come adrift (yours truly forgot to check the bolts were torqued) on the dyno Wed night (which we believe fractured the oil pump drive). Turned up a bit late and missed 1st qualifier. Installed linelock solinoid the incorrect way around resulting in locked front brakes in the burnout box on the 2nd and only qualifier we fronted for. Finally in ET3 round the oil pump drive collar broke on launch resulting in zero oil pressure. All in all a c**t of a day/weekend/week for us. WE WILL BE BACK THOUGH.......

  5. No hard luck...just a little surprised at the lack of improvement.....but.....this is only what the dyno says. The real improvement we want to see most is trackside. Stay tuned....tomorrow the real test begins.

Go back and "properly" read this thread....i think ive made myself clear in no uncertain terms what i think it does, the performance benefits of it and the application ive used it for. As for contradiction (seems to be your favorite word) go back and read your last post...you make no sense and are starting to get lost in your own babble. As i said previous...I think you need to start you own thread...you seem very passionate about it
  7. silv you asked for results. We have made more than before......but not any more than 450. So I think most people, including us and Jim were all surprised at the small gain. Unfortunately we are in Port Stephens and the car is in Sydney, so we don't have any graphs to post yet. Lets just see what it does 2moro.......STACE
  8. This is the internet...a quick "google" of performance ceramic coatings will give you hundreds of examples of where this product has been tested and proven. Like i said before, your example does not mean or prove anything if no before/after comparison is done (this is how i do my testing). Like Silv.is trying to explain and i have also stated earlier in this thread, the coating is done on the turbine side to aid gas flow....not too keep things cool around it, thats the job of heat shields etc. Thanks for the acknowledgement of our work...its good to see the time, effort and dollars paying off
  9. Your test needs to be a before and after example to have any credibility. Why don't you start a thread about this topic as people may be interested in seeing your theories matched against multimillion dollar race teams research from Top Fuel dragsters to V8 supercars.

Well it didn't make much more power than we already had...i suspect the cams and capacity were a perfect match for the 2530's...to get full power from thr RS's i think a larger capacity bottom end and higher lift/duration cams will be required. The turbos can flow more air...but is the engine set-up capable of ingesting it?....i think not. To put it in perspective these turbos are rated the same as a T51R KAI and it would be unwise to bolt this turbo onto a STD capacity engine and 260deg 9.15mm lift cams and expect top results. Ahh well...now for the 400m dyno tomm. for some further testing and results.

Well the Power Station at Bayswater used to put out 660 mega watts at 3000rpm per turbine (and up to 700 if overdriven during peak load times) so being a quad turbine setup its putting out a grand total of 2640 mega watts....or for the Back to the future fans 2.64 Giga watts!!   17. Should be 4WD when "on" but as its a single pole single throw switch, polarity is not critical....so check it out before mounting. BTW due to the popularity of switches another batch of 10 is being made.
