  1. Tell me how John Penlington gets away with his "Nismo.com.au" seat covers...does he have an agreement with Nismo...me doubts it. Does he get away with it...me thinks so.
  2. Id try the unique manifolds, as heat retention is the key to aiding gas velocity....and the thick walled cast manifolds do a superb job of doing that, do you know if they are ceramic coated as well?...good luck with the upgrade....those little turbo's sure were good for us...i hope they serve you well.
  3. Its his liability, not yours. His insurance will cover goods. If he's not insured, its coming out of his pocket. Easy.
  4. Thats the shot...see ya on the 21st.
  5. Between the plenumn and the pipe that feeds from the inner guard. I set it up so the tip is in the centre of the pipe and does not come into contact with the pipe wall or plenumn wall. Ive always had the thought that the std probe is affected by heat soak.
  6. Thanks Mashrock for the support. The real gain for the coating is on the turbine side holding the heat in, this aids in gas velocity and flow. The gains on the inlet (we have not done this side of the system before) are yet to be seen. But we use a very accurate Carel temp. meter to monitor plenunm temps, so the real world gains will be seen after full load tuning and full noise passes are completed. I must admit i only really got the inlet side done to tidy up the pipework and Rob was giving me a bit of a discount to cover the additional cost. I dont run a vented hood as the temps during a run do not warrant it, Mark Jacobsen weighed his and its heavier than a stocker.
  7. Yes Ben you had a little scrape i must admit....but "all" of it needed removing. Thanks for your input. So yes..."WE"...."Ben and I" removed it.
  8. I hope your kidding.....going to a full drag strip to compete in a round of the National Championship with computerised lights and timing system...or...race half track, no timing system, a rolling start and with "biased" people running/judging the outcome, started by some bogan waving a flag. Go where you like, but the sport of high tech drag racing in this country needs support both in entrants and spectators. Ill be racing at WSID.
  9. John, the inside flange of the turbine housing may need the coating removed (we did ours with a razor blade) so they assemble correctly. Its the inside surface where the core meets the turbine. Any probs or questions mate give me a pm.
  10. I think he just wanted to tell you that we drove twoogle!!!! (-: Stace
  11. Great photos Adrian, well done. Hope you had a good day .....we almost came down.
  12. Instal finished, drove it to the workshop yesterday to pull the clutch out (it was heavily punished) its and packed ready for its trip to Jim Berry for a reco. Should have it back in and down at Croydon's this coming Saturday.
  13. Sounds like the duty of the AVC-R is set incorrectly
  14. Make sure you get it surface ground on a magnetic table Shane. We could do it for you but we are a little bit out of the way.
  15. There is a three pin plug that feeds the coils.....you get your 12+ from the middle wire at this plug. Also have a splicing loom if you require one. Let me know. The plug in loom is $95 and Performance Wholesale in QLD have 1 left in stock....be quick!!
  16. You pick the positive up from the TPS plug from memory, ill check later this afternoon and let you know exactly which wire ok. Can even email you the wiring diagram if ya like.
  17. The DiRTgarage machine shop is considering doing a "run" of these adapters if given enough interest, as producing "one offs" are a bit exy (around $80 ea for time and materials) but if we can get some interest we may produce these for about $60 for a run of 20 or about $70 for a run of 10. So we are currently taking names and if enough interest we will get them underway. The adapter is made from similar material to the body of the meter, is heat resistant and also gives that OEM appearance. A milled finish on the flat surfaces and a smooth turned tapered finish on the "snout". EDIT: these can also be made from aluminium if desired
  18. Hello...Mc Fly...
  19. Use a big socket on the crank pulley bolt to stop engine rotation and torque flywheel bolts up. Two people makes this job easy.
  20. Looks pretty good Silv. how'd ya go getting the manifolds done??
  21. Looks good Gav....top stuff. that drama with the crank got sorted i hope. If ya want a squizz at how ours is progressing see link. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=114653
