  1. is Bowen Hills classified as 'Northside' ?
  2. Mark i have the pics the Jappo's requested to assist them...i can send them via email from my phone but need your email address. thanks
  3. in nearly 20 years on the road been done for speeding once...that was at Cunninghams Gap going home after the Winternationals this year...it was in my work truck...lol. Was going to write a letter to see if i could get out of it...but didn't worry about it and just paid the $330 fine.
  4. can i nominate this post for post of the year....thanks Trent. Another one who has actually tested this rear head drain bullshit and proved it as such. In a race engine i recommend running 1.2's with a hydraulic head and 1.5 for the VCT, enlarging the factory drains by 2mm...this works well.
  5. the pcv system is dumping rocker cover breather mist in there...hook up a catch can.
  6. vent the sump on the drivers side to an intermediate tank with the rocker covers then vent this tank to a regular catch can...problem solved.
  7. but does it properly mix? I see separation issues as one is water based and one is oil based. just because Martin Donnon says its ok does not mean its gospel. This not a dig at Martin as i have a lot of respect for the man...its just not everyone is correct 100% of the time.
  8. i use inconell exhaust valves
  9. I change my oil every 10 minutes...about how long my engine runs at a meet. With around 20K in engine parts invested (my labour is free as i build them myself) a $250 oil change ($25 a litre plus filter) is cheap insurance. I use Motul 300V 'Le Mans' 20W60 and built the engine to run this oil weight. If it picked up a bearing and or threw a rod and i didn't do this id be always thinking whether if i had done the oil if it would have happened.
  10. yes its much easier to pick the seat with bigger valves if guides are replaced...it also makes full use of the port job if its ported.
  11. got one but it may be a bitch to send as its too long for aussie post to accept. may be able to organise a courier...pm me an offer.
  12. They are in my opinion the best EBC on the market...we did a back to back test against the AVC-R with the Blitz a clear winner. i price my surplus items to sell...it stops low ballers busting my ass to save $50. i usually only have items for sale for a few days until they are snapped up. for those who have been asking about the power meter here is some info. http://www.nengun.com/blitz/power-meter-i-d-iii pm's answered
  13. larger bore cylinder makes for a lighter pedal effort when using heavier multi plate clutches.
  14. Both in as new condition cost $950 $500 will not separate
  15. My mate who builds 888 racing's engines is also an RB30 guru...he buys Argo's off me so id question why he isn't using the pile of Carillo's he has access to. He's in the states at the moment...ill have a chat to him when he gets back and call you Dave.
  16. exactly...as flow increases the pressure increases if the restriction and oil viscosity are the same.
  17. its neglible...think about when a bearing is spun, the conrod thrust is not much of a restriction on flow as oil pressure plummets. i cannot get my head around why this is being viewed in a ngegative light. Anyone who really knows and or builds these engines would see this as a bonus...Ash's post backs this up.
  18. brand new...only tested on car to see if it would fix clutch issue. $120 location Brisbane
  19. It will only play a part if the engine has enough restriction as the pump on bypass actually depends on the restriction to the flow. if i build an engine with large clearances and no oil gallery restrictor and set the rev limit at around 8000rpm do you think the oil pressure would be enough for the pump to bypass at 120psi...only if the owner is silly enough to rev the tits off it when the oil is cold would it see over 7 bar.
