  1. you guessed right....as i said before...its his money and time to waste...not ours. of course the mechanic wants the cheapie in there....cause he will have work in 6months replacing that one too. Your mechanic is not as stupid as it first seems.
  2. we have 440AWKW and clutch is great...its the best value for money performance part i have EVER purchased for any of my cars. I dont think i could speak more highly of Jim and his work...i would never run a poorly set-up over priced Jap item ever again.
  3. proengines...i see you replace the cam belt tensioner and pulley on your builds....good stuff. How's Richards donk going?
  4. so you will end up buying 2+ $700 clutches + 2+ x installation...or save another $300 to do a proper job once...ahh well its your time and money...not mine
  5. dont buy an "off the shelf" clutch, get Jim Berry Race Clutch to build you one...Between $900-$1200 depending if its push or pull. We run a $1000 one in our race car and its lasted two years of extreme punishment (8250rpm dumps with race tyres on). Just do a search on here on Jim Berry to see all the happy customers
  6. Unlike the Japs...we have rules to follow here with our drag cars which means added kg's... anyhow...back on topic... so Nick.....decided what TO4Z housing you will get?? .81 seems like the go.
  7. we run power steering...A/C is only activated when switched (so pulley free spins on cars with a/c installed)...but yes we run thermo's
  8. 1475kg...is not what i would call comprehensively stripped...its only marginally lighter than a stocker....and I weigh 105kg. with Nick in his car the weights would almost match. we ran 28psi to do 10.38 and 10.36....redline was 8250rpm...changing at 8000. I dont think i have even come close to "flogging the shit" out of them yet. 35psi and 9250 is flogging the shit out of them. what makes the car so quick is the almost instant torque the car generates off the line due to the 2530's midrange. The 1.4-1.5 60' are testament to this, to half track we are around 0.2-0.3 slower than Mark's 9.5 sec beast. The second half of the track is where the t04z would be superior, as the 2530 lack the airflow to have the topend for 9sec passes without the use of NOS. contrary to popular belief, this car was never built with drag racing in mind. Our set-up is typical of a Japanese weekend circuit car. We run all the ultra hard suspension, off the shelf HKS Hyperdamper, Tein caster rods, JIC top arms, Hicas lock etc. Stace took it drag racing to have some fun....it just got a little out of hand when the car began to produce some incredible times and numbers....the bug bit.
  9. as long as they are on boost from 5500rpm-9000rpm i dont really care how laggy they are. I need more top end to achieve a goal i have set for the car.....without the use of NOS.
  10. be on the lookout for a pair of GT-RS turbo's for twoogle.....not going single yet....not on this engine anyway.
  11. same....anybody want to buy the states quickest street skyline??
  12. Good quality bronze guides are around $400 and about the same money for the same quality seals...thats without even fitting installation etc. Give me the name of your head guy so i can get him to do my next engine....then again the ammount of engines you have been through...maybe not. Factor in camshafts, valve springs gaskets seals etc and a very mild port job and $4000 is very easily spent. We weren't even considering draging the motor when i built it as it was designed for circuit use only. It really depends if you want a slap-together engine that you have to baby to keep together that is easily broken or a reliable engine that you can push hard without worry. $10 000+ for a relaible engine that does low 10's at the track repeatably is an absolute bargain.....ask some of the v8 boys what they spend on engines to go this quick.
  13. ATTN...twoogle is now for sale!!! i want it!
  14. cant believe all you read in Autosalon....we have been listed winning trophy's we didn't....in the same issue(current) Daniel Jitts' Supra has a twin turbo 1UZFE when it has a 2JZGTE (this is said more than once) our car had twin Trust fuel rails and a Autometer boost controller.lol [cabin] fools so who knows if its the real McCoy. think ill give Dom. a ring myself.
