  1. but that was not the question.... you are correct though...a street/drag/circuit GTR is great with 2x HKS 2530's its the best all round turbo for the RB26... this is only my opinion...
  2. nah not really...got to remove the turbo/s (already done) and send the core to GCG...they will reco. the core with new seals etc. should be back on the road by the end of the month. Thinking about a HKS GT-RS upgrade though so you will have to wait and see what i do. Who knows i may have a surprise in store......
  3. if you are not running a catch can its coming from the crankcase via the pcv system...normally gets gathered there due to the blow-off valve location.
  4. firstly id like to know WHO im fighting and why ?? and what Brett has to do with it ?? i was only asking a question and for those interested the rear turbo oil seal did fail and filled the exhaust with oil......yuck!!
  5. possibly...full kit or just turbo...give ya a call tomm. to discuss....its past my bedtime
  6. If leaning towards street/drag then the 0.81 would be my choice with std capacity and crank...as per my guide. good luck with your purchase...(bastard!!)
  7. my personal option would be as follows....street RB26...0.61, street/circuit RB26...0.61, street/drag RB26 0.81, street RB27/28 (ie. stroker) 0.81, street/circuit RB27/28 0.81, street/drag RB27/28 1.00, street/circuit RB30...0.81, drag RB30 1.00. this is only my personal opinion. hope this helps mate Paul
  8. please explain the funny side to blowing a turbo....???
  9. run an external single stage oil pump similar to a dry sump set-up. Its run off the crank pulley and driven by a gilmer belt. Its the be all and end all of rb oiling problems. an enlarged baffled swing door sump will be required too.
  10. Looks like a blown oil seal on rear turbo....anyone got GCG's Ph. no.
  11. that engine will last forever....lol
  12. Jim Berry does our clutches....and at $1000 a pop they are superb value for money....18months of brutal treatment and stacks of race meetings/ track days its only beginning to show its age.
  13. they are off driving a v-spec
  14. Sweet Adam....christmas run-in's are great....i took "twoogle" up to the Gold Coast for Xmas/New Year two years ago for its run-in.....its engine is two years older than yours almost to the day.
  15. thanks to NYL83R for organising, Paul doing the cooking and the shopping and setting up the cars. Thanks for the pics Monkeykplunk. I have given a photo to the marina as a thankyou. It was good to meet everyone, nice cars, THANKS for coming to the POINT. Hopefully we will see you all again soon. DRIVE SAFELY.....HAVE A NICE CHRISTMAS STACE
  16. only the two outside ones...they are your indicators....and the indicators (jap vers) are your reverse lights
  17. the final (rear) bolt (12mm) that secures the alloy coil pack frames should have an earth eyelet under it.
  18. you can remove it and turn it by hand....you should hear the injectors squirting fuel. And yes you may have fouled the plugs with all that cranking
  19. im arranging for the interior to go back in and the windows to be tinted....going to enjoy a "street car for a few months between races. All the race numbers and battery stickers are gone and the Nismo rims are back on. With the cat and silencer installed its quite a sedate package on the street and quite often travels the around unnoticed.
  20. I used to run VP103 or VP109 unleaded in our 4 stroke mower....the 60' times had to be seen to be believed. The smell of race fuel when mowing is a benefit also......mmmm.....high octane....
  21. No it WAS the fuel...no coincidence.... Adam...run 7's if your running more than standard boost.
  22. yeah they were put up straight after i red lighted...i was the third run. two of the three runs without the board were red light runs.
  23. Bit disappointed with the starting problem.....cannot think of any other National Championship where a false start or an error by the starter would not constitute a re-run. Was definately distracted by the other lights in the other lane, which upset my concentration. I have never red-lighted before in my drag racing career (normally a bit slow off the lights). I had my opponent easily covered in the run and would have had an easy win. No sour grapes to the winners (bu5ter/2rismo), as im sure you both could see how excited i was to see you guys battling it out for top honours.
  24. your mate is 100% correct
