  1. why is it i read the thread title to the tune of Santa Claus is coming to town? im either going mad or starting become festive.
  2. Fred Gibson always had a few smoky little tricks up his sleeve...whether it was a totally stock one or one of his special 'homoligation' items we will probably never know. He orgainsed Nissan factory packaging and part numbers for the 'special' R31 coolers and when questioned by scruitineers he produced the boxed items from the transporter to put them off the trail. He was a clever bastard.
  3. im guessing PPG gearbox
  4. Quite often the brushes stick...get motor out and tap it a few times to free up (concrete floor works a treat) plug it in and test it before re installing.
  5. How do you think it was for Dave and I...bit of a stressful time during the 1st phonecall. We got it all sorted though without too much hassle.
  6. They are all in excellent order...removed from running vehicles and well stored. was going to keep at least 4 of them for race engines. you have pm.
  7. i used to throw them in the scrap bin...now ive seen a little of the 'dark side' i enquired and got 4 whole engines and 2 short blocks given to me by my machinist as he used to run a commodore spares shop and was throwing them out.
  8. should be an 8 second car by then...nice little run around car for you Den.
  9. we do the 4wd sumps if your interested...they have a 3 pick-up option...but most people like to only use 2 and do the rear head thing.
  10. give me $25,000 and the car and ill give you australia's fastest street registered GTR.
  11. Its based on the bolt hole centres...Hypertune TB's suit most plenums including GReddy (90mm) TBA TB's are/were garbage...basic low end product...had some bad experiences with them years ago, maybe they have picked up their game.
  12. rubbish... these are more like it. http://www.hypertune.net/index.php?option=...0&Itemid=83
  13. I see a benefit...anything that prevents low oil pressure at any stage that can lead to picking up a bearing is a winner in my books. These engines thrive on high oil pressure, having a constant film of high pressure oil between the journal and bearing is what they need and too often fail when this is lacking.
  14. ill pick mine up from you when i come back up in a few weeks...keen to come out to the track again?
  15. Be careful Pete...next you will be installing a Vi-PEC and removing 4th and 5th gears from your gearbox.
  16. properly degreeing them is the only way to go, didn't Pricey do this for you the slackass?
  17. Dave you typed a lot...for no response...if you have some info and you have decided not to post it feel free to PM me. Here's Nitto's distributor website...its black and white. http://www.tweakit.net/shop/product_info.p...roducts_id=7204 to be honest i couldn't give a rats arse if i found out they were produced by blind buddist monks in the mountains of Tibet...they are an excellent product that ill continue to use on all our engines.
  18. Got some info ? Greg im sure you already know Mr Snuffleupagus is found hanging out with Big Bird on Sesame St.
  19. I can assure you yes...they are made here on earth. What is your concern with the pumps high crack-off pressure?
  20. have you mapped whats actually occurring on a dyno with the AVC-R at 24+? we changed from avc-r to Blitz ID-III and made the same power with 2psi less peak boost. Have used the Blitz ID-III to control boost on several low mount twin internally wastegated and single high mount externally wastegated set-ups up to 34psi...solid as a rock!
  21. just a heads-up for potential noob buyers...these parts are no different on a std GTR..i.e. not v-spec specific.
