It is with deep regret that we must part with the news that respected UK tuner and GTR UK forum community member, Rob G (affectionately known as Tweenierob) passed away earlier today after being involved in a fatal car accident. Rob was the director of TR Racing in the UK and campaigns the 'Gaiijin' 8 second GTR driven by Mick Begley We have also learnt that his business partner Harry (known on GTR UK as Lamb) is currently in hospital receiving treatment - his condition is as yet unknown. Red R Racing wish to pass on our condolences to all concerned.

No...Tony Wedlock...TRD Aurion its called now, its a bit hard to get the Solara name out of my head. Its the ex Matt Scranton car from the states. It runs a V88 Vi-PEC with the 18 injectors squirting methanol, twin M&W drag 6 cdi's, M&W coils and an AEM wideband controller. Mark actually did the initial tune on his chassis dyno and further tuning was done after each run at the strip using the data from the logs. Running a methanol car on a chassis dyno in an enclosed environment was no fun...it took days for my eyes to recover.

Mark and i installed a Vi-PEC in Tony Wedlock's Solara drag car its has 18 x 1600cc injectors and runs 6.6's. I run a Vi-pec ecu in our 9.45 sec GTR street/drag car as well as our street/circuit GTR. Both of these cars are tuned by Mark Jacobsen at Godzilla Motorsport....simply awesome results.

someone tied a large thick cable tie around his balancer pulley...it was hitting the timing cover causing the noise.

metalurgy yes...but have you taken into account the cross section of each item. Id say we may be getting $2.50 each.

its unfortuately the fact you have no idea of the life the new engine had before you recieved it that has to be considered.

Id go to the extra expense of properly balancing the engine and running an ATI balancer than forking out $2500 on an N1. Im yet to crack an 05U thats been properly built. But everone has different ideas i suppose.

yes ive heard about the copied blocks...didn't consider the N1 pumps though. Now that i have a product i know i can rely on i will never buy another N1 pump.

second set of rods = $200 resizing them $120 ARP rod bolts $120 the look on someones face when you make 467AWKW and run countless low 10's with them....priceless i honestly doubt spool chinese rods would be stronger than stockers.
