  1. bugger...already bought the 4x4 have you? Id like to swap my immaculate Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited for this. Black, V8 leather all power options etc.
  2. have a very clean 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited...V8 leather all options...immaculate inside and out. swap ???
  3. at boost control solinoid, its in the line just before it. Usually a yellow band is painted around the hose.
  4. consider this...we can do a GTR clutch and flywheel replacement in under 2hrs. (1hr50mins) and i dont work on cars for my day job. anyone who quotes more than double this in regard to labour is blatantly ripping you off or has no idea what they are doing/how to do it.
  5. was this mxfly's old car? sure looks like it. ill swap my drag car for it. no problem.
  6. this man speaks wise words. In sydney i wouldn't use any business with the word "hill" in its name or address.
  7. my mate punched Richard Wilkins in the mouth at the supermarket over a pack of Chicken noodles. He said the next day on the Today show he fell off while waterskiing and his ski hit him in the mouth. lol
  8. even if it is damged a simple 10thou grind and oversize bearings will have it like new...as long as its not too deeply scored. my basic rebuilds using only forged pistons, ARP rod bolts and Nitto oil pump (everything else Nissan)have been proven reliable at over 450AWKW. The basics put together well handles big power...no problem.
  9. you guys are not listening to or understanding smell. mate i know exactly what you are saying. yes you do what you suggested in 1st post...but if it were mine id source a new balancer. I have a good unit here if you need one
  10. is the coil cover still available?
  11. I have a $2100 genuine NOS nitrous system with all the bells and whistles available for $1100 if anyone needs to go fast. Its still new...someone buy it before i loose my mind and actually try using it.
  12. you may have to measure the base current with an ocilloscope using a current probe (similar to a tong ammeter). The transistor requires a 0.6V signal to be applied to the base to switch it on but if for some reason the circuit resistance may be too low, this will increase the current. This current (base emitter) and the current from the coil (collector emitter), flow through the transistor emitter to ground. Coupled with the fact you are running wasted spark which in theory will double the current may increase the problem a small rise in the base current can have. The ecu should have current limiting resistors fitted to the ignition driver outputs to limit this. Proper testing with the right equipment will be required to prove each circuit is correct. We run the same ecu/coil/igniter/dwell in our circuit car and have not had an issue.
  13. Wow Adrian, you certainly are the turbo chronicle...or should that be oracle...the most important bit you left for last.
  14. yeah there is a certain tuner/workshop in Sydney who tunes just like this...it was a mates car so i re-tuned it properly and made heaps of gains in power and response as well as fuel economy...and i cannot tune for sh1t but know enough to get things looking reasonable. Made 450AWKW the next day at Autosalon and won him a trophy...yay this workshop charges big $$ too...pretty piss poor.
  15. your brother needs to lay off the pies.
  16. dont forget about the base current from the ecu to switch the transistor. This current also goes to ground through that track.
  17. margin...4/1000ths of a second.
  18. lol during the next ad break ill sprint to the toilet
  19. Fabian Coultard decided to park it 1/2 way up mountain straight and go for a walk.
  20. safety car...yeehaa
  21. a quick recording of the XXXX angels pre-race performance comes in handy during the ad breaks. < Garry Rogers
  22. I was being serious...2rismo ran 11.5 with a stock engine GTS-t...stock turbo as well. Just a Power FC intercooler and turbo back exhaust.
