finsh the thread.... you were after bang for your buck..... rb25det NEO without a doubt, its not just the motor, its the whole package. like most people have mentioned...once you smash boxes, what you gonna do with a toyota box? Aftermarket parts for a 25 are also readily avaliable, there are so many around. Simple concept basically made to be put into any nissan. good all round motors...1j's are great, fantastic infact...just not bang for your buck material.

revision mirror dude. your turbo can still be burning oil without traces in your cooler pipes...the rear seal in your turbo could be gone. say movement in your turbo shaft can be pulling forward under boost so that allows oil to slip out the seal on the exhaust side. hence only on boost. idle the motor and take the oil cap off and feel for excessive blow by. you cant really 'check' valve stem seals. you only know it was them when you change them and the smoke stops. spent hours on a 4g63 changing the valve stem seals only to find out that it was the turbo seals.

i would imagine is would be less than 400 to get it here...tell them to wack it on a pallet and get it couriered to your door. through someone like TNT or HI-TRANS or bluestar..something like that... a whole car costs around 4-500 to get state to state so i can't image it would cost anymore than that.

This Stainless dump pipe with screamer pipe is made very well. Works perfectly with no leakage at all. I used it for 3 days but its too loud for my liking. however it sounds balistic!! It features all stainless piping and flanges, perfect tig welds and fits in directly into the spot of the standard dump pipe with oxygen sensor fitting. comes with bolts for engine pipe and brand new gasket. The seperator for the wastegate is a pressfit tube that fits snug in the rear of the turbine housing to completly seal instead of those dodgy seperators. In the picture its all shiny but the head has made the colourful heat marks on it. In excellent condition In South Australia $200 firm PM for more details

"there's something about engines that carms me down" mines a Series 2 GTS-T R33 with coola, 4inch zorst, 10-11psi makes 202.3rwkw. had series 1 RB25det in a R31, that made 205rwkw with simular mods but with piggyback. -

yea ive tried calling those dudes some many times. never answer, when i rock up theres no one there....and when you do get someone there, the bloke behind the counter knows two fists of f*k all! i bought a bob tail spoiler from them and it was the most warped piece a shit i ever seen and majorly overpriced. No wonder their warehouse burned down. Their too caught up in their own little world with their dodgy scissor lift door conversions on their v6 300c's. i mean who buys a 300c and get a v6....wtf.. steer clear.

if only there was a longer stretch of road like greenhill road up to lofty, i went up there last night for the first time in the 33. coilovers are great. bit bumpy tho. was great to hear the screamer in the hills. im not too familiar with the hills but i think we should go on roads like that for the next cruise.
-
scary thing is, usually its someone you know and who knows you got that shit.

hey guys i appologise, i was that tool in the white 33 that gassed it past you guys down the beach. i didn't see you guys sitting there until i went back the other way. glad to hear there wasn't any trouble with the cops. surprising turnout also.

im pretty sure you wont have a problem. oil swishing around your sump is a major issue for all motors without a dry sump setup. I'm unsure if you can get those winged sumps like the SR's have. but yea oil splish splash is a no no for all motors, whether it be drift OR drag. other than that you could sit that thing on the limiter all day long and she'll be fine. just make sure you got all your fluids to the correct level. I wouldn't take a motor out thrashing without a fmic. that's a definate.

the other day at bunnings at beverly on port rd seen a yellow 33. i noticed its boot bad\key hole thing had been removed...looks good. anyone?
-
its really each to their own and what your comfortable with. Obviously an s13 based drifter is best for 'drift physics' however, just say you've driven a 33 for a while now and your used to catching that sort of base in oversteer then that's probably what your going to be better at. I drove a mates S15 today and found it was a HELL of a lot harder to go from my car (R33) to his S15. totally different feel and mannerisms. go with what suits you. BUT if you dont give a shit and wanna learn something new then definetly S13 cheap and easy.
