i Had a R31 Silhouette with RB25DET, coilovers etc etc....200rwkw. I put a towbar on it to tow a car trailer with a pintara on it and it towed very well. This particular R31 weighed in at 1350 kilo, i assume the car trailer weighed around 600-700kilo and the pintara around 1200 kilo so thats around 2ton of weight behind the thing. THe R31 came out with a towbar but this is obviously too much weight for the Skyline. But what impressed me was how the RB25DET towed this weight. had to kreep up to around 100km/h at one point and went very well. surprisingly infact. Obviously our Jackaroo 4wd towes alot better in the way of stability and braking but for what it was the Rb25det did its job despite it not being part of its job when it was designed. food for thought. however i do agree with the whole downward weight on the rear of a 32. I heard that KIER WILSON tows his 8.84second GTR behind his STREET GTR to events here in adelaide. If anyone knows whats bad for a GTR its kier wilson.

ok, pulled my rear seats out my 97 33 s2. noticed a strange small box with a plug on the drivers side above near the strut tower on the rear....the plug was out of it and i dont know what it is..its a small plug like 4 prong...and a little box between the bracket holding the parcel shelf up.. any one know.... cheers. i saw a silver s2 r33 gts-t today down mile end....with a GTR badge on the boot....tsk tsk tsk...i strongly disagree. hail ye olde GTR ye not be na olde immitations.

thats bullshit. sadly it'll never end. i dont mind if its a justified reason for a defect, fine etc. its just the bullshit ones. My R31 got defected for no water in the window washer bottle. yet he didn't realise the rb25det centimetres away....you hear some wierd stories out there...most cops are reasonable if you share their view, its the other ones who have nothing better to do.

does rb25 have the same stud pattern on the inlet side as the rb26 does it?

I have 4 x 17 inch RIMS REARS : 17 x 9 offsets will be posted as soon as i check them but they are both in the 30s FRONTS: 17 X 8 REARS: 50% 255/40/17 tyres FRONTS: 50% 235/45/17 tyres REARS have a about 2.5inch of dish FRONTS have about an inch and a half of dish ALL WHITE, FIT straight on R33 without any rubbing at all immaculate condition, one front and one rear one has a tiny bit of gutter rash. nothing to cry about tho. Im in adelaide and willing to post at buyers expense. $1000 o.n.o

i also have the option of 17 x 9 x 30+ would they be ok for the rears??? more chance than the +15 x9.5??? cheers for the quick replys btw

im just about to pay for rims, impulse buy, will these size rims fit a R33 with no hassle??? sorry no time to search forums, need urgent reply. 17x9.5 +15 rear and 17x8 + 30 probably a stupid question i know..... cheers. in advance. also does +15 mean more dish than +30 sorry for stupid questions..,

yea whatever is too small for the bolt heads i can just make up whatever thickness spacers to suit without the counter bores for bolts etc. i think 15 would be minimum for bolt ons.

are you sure it allows the same dump and everything, it looks to me as tho the flange is set forward more than the standard cast manifold. i may be wrong.

as soon as i get deminsions of a template ill help you out champ.
