For the most part it would, problem is it's still classed as a public road and there's nearly always boaties down there launching boats off trailers, i'll have a chat to a mate of mine who works for the RTA and see how we can go about it.
The only pictures i've got are ones i've taken of cars down at the site so bear with me on this one...
(my runaround)
I can go out and take pictures early next week for a better idea of scale.
Backgrounds.
pfft.
Srsly...
White cars go well with water.
White cars go well with dark sunglasses.
Colour contrast is everything.
Alternatively you can get a car that is a similar colour to the environment to work with the location - usually helps if the car is a slightly darker tone to the location but this only works in daylight.
If all else fails:
Find a big open space and use the sky.

2:10 onwards should give you a pretty good idea.
It's wide enough to fit 2 cars down it - I should know, ran the Subaru down it after filming wrapped up.
Yeah, that'll be your ECU pulling all the timing out. (Rich/Retard)
Greddy eManage should fix that problem. Blue or Ultimate comes down to your budget too.
Yeah mine used to get all kinds of stares, pointers and curious Georges at the servo, busy servos used to be an absolute hoot because everyone would stare as it came in. The attendants were no better either. Most of them didn't ask if it was a Volvo they either looked at it and said "awesome car mate" or "what is it?"
Dad used to bait his mates into thinking it was a Volvo too.
