Question for Marc Is there any benefit in going from an 8 speed rear to 9 speed rear for Downhill? I'm currently running Shimano XT 8 speed gearing at the back and a 34 tooth chain ring on the front with no granny gears and a chainguide.

The stock BOV's have a really piss-poor spring in them and they rely on the vacuum to hold them shut, Luke i've got a Blitz BOV here if you wanted to test it to rule out a faulty factory item. Seriously if you've got an idle problem it has to be a dead coil.

S2 coilpacks won't work in S1's due to the NEO thingy. Luke you can also try wrapping the coils in duct tape to insulate them - worked for me. Failing that, JJR coils work a treat.

I bought mine from my local camera shop here in newy however they are made by the same people as the ones on eBay, on a full charge they'll have an average range of 30m, beware though, they are prone to electrical interference so they have this nasty habit of triggering the flash at random.
