ok silver gts-t ill explain to u. yes i was with my broher, who owns mr mad, the silver twin turbo'd v8 6 second pro street torana which just happens to be front cover of the current street machine magazine, in his vz clubsport. my previous ride was a sil80 from which i still have a f*k load of parts, and on nissansilvia u would see im not dodgy, and well it seems logical that when u do a single turbo upgrade that u sell the twins, in this case they were 2530s which i had bought but now opted for single t04z, and still researching. *edited for gtst sake*

ive spoken to one of my brothers mates at precisin turbo, in the usa, who sponsor his car and asked them for a reccommendation for my gtr, as i can get turbos from them pretty cheap and this is what i was given in reply to a msg stating what car i own, hp wanting to achieve and that i want something that matches the t04z... "The closest thing we have in terms of size and performance to the T04Z is the GT4067R... it's a ball bearing turbo (which means its water cooled) with a GT40 turbine wheel and a 67mm compressor wheel. It's available wih a .81a/r turbine housing and either the "S" (4" inlet, 2.4" outlet) or "H" (4" inlet, 3" outlet) compessor cover." also when one speaks of "trim" is that the number stated on the compressor cover? and what does that number actually mean?? how is it derived? i understand the a/r ratio part and the compressor wheel size is 67mm. i dont understandthe 2 types of compressor covers, what affect will the larger outlet have on my engine performance wise?? how would this turbo actually match up to the t04z?? all this help is muchly appreciated. thanks!!!

hey, before i get slandered, i have used the search button and nothing as to exactly what i wanna kno. i am currently doing a single turbo conversion over to the hks t04z and looking for the mid to high 600s hp. i have no problem getting the turbo or manifold, but now to decide which wastegate. im fairly new to the turbo side of things so i dont understand what they mean by all different rate springs etc. my main qestion is what determines how big of a gate i go? and what size (mm) gate should i be looking a to support my application? and what brands, no generic cheapo brands for sure thanks alot guys. novak

muchly asked question no doubt but i cant find much on it. ive been told my gtr is still a while away from being completed, so ive decided to do a gradual build up. the car has everything but turbo/s. i was jus gonna stick some 2530s on it, which my sale of them fell thru!! but now decided i wanna go the big single with alot of power. what im looking for is around 600-650hp at wheels. as per usual, minimal lag is wanted. my engine is fully built, but im yet to get the exact specifications of my cams etc as the guy who built it is away till after new year. it used to run twin gt28's n made 340kw at wheels, but i didnt get turbos with the car. the car is running a motec m800 ecu, which will be tuned by either CRD or CV Performance. CV played part in tuning my brothers torana, which featured in this months street machine aka MR MAD. any help is muchly appreciated. thnak you, novak.
