  11. ^ email the dpi and getthem to send u a copy of EI 107A then keep it in car show it to cops then they wont sticker you over Pod filters Vehicle Safety Branch Examiner’s Instruction Vehicle Intake and Exhaust Systems Pre ADR 27C Vehicles There is evidence to suggest that many ‘hang-on’ emission control devices for these vehicles are no longer available from original equipment manufacturers and/or spare parts suppliers. This applies to vehicles manufactured prior to 31 January 1986. Taking into consideration the non-availability of emission control components, examiners do not need to insist on original equipment emission control systems being intact. Consequently vehicle examiners do not need to issue a modification permit for exhaust extractors. It is also unnecessary to issue a modification permit for non-genuine air filters providing induction noise is not excessive. These include cone or pod type filters. Not withstanding the above, vehicles must continue to comply with the Road Traffic (Vehicle Standards) Rules 2002 with respect to the emission of smoke. Post ADR 37 Vehicles Vehicles manufactured from 1 February 1986 must continue to comply with the applicable design rule for the year of manufacture (Australian Design Rule 37/00, 37/01, 79/00 or 79/01). Catalytic converters and other emission control devices must be retained and functioning correctly. However where exhaust extractors are fitted a modification permit is not required. It is also unnecessary to issue a modification permit for non-genuine air filters providing induction noise is not excessive and that all engine management sensors are fitted and operating. These include cone or pod type filters. EI-107A (Feb 05) Application date Feb 05 or pm me your emailaddy i i can send you a copy of it
  12. at least u have half a skyline lol its skyline powered
  13. 1992 r32 ? your screwed if you want compliance .it can NOT be complied for road use if its a 1992 australian delivered skyline all it needs is to be roadworthy and pit passed
  14. NO there is no 15 year rule anymore it is the pre 1989 rule so any r32 skyline must go through SEVS compliance at raws approved workshop
  15. if the tyre placard states different size tyres then it is ok but if it states all 4 the same size they have to stay the same legally eg supra with 17 x 8 front 17 x 9 rear is ok because rears on tyre placard are are 1 inch wider than fronts same style staggered fitment on a gtr is illegal because tyre placard has same size for front and rear eg 16 x 8 all round
  16. can also make i giggly and sleepy
  17. heat will make it unresponsive pod will make lots more suction noise compared to a covered air box like the stock air filter is in
  18. running different size tyres is illegal in western australia if placard has same size rim tyre for front and rear legally they have to be kept the same
  19. Japan most rims sold here in aus are heavy and the styles dont really suit skylines etc check out a few traders and see what they have second hand a good set of s/h jap rims will be better than anything ozzytyres tempe etc have
