  1. UPDATE - I now got 4 confirmations for a Dyno day and the poll shows 11 interests... where is every one else? Cheers
  2. I might be spectating too tonight... ill come to the pits and say hi to every skyline i see... so remember my name: SARKIS lol See you guys tonight!
  3. Common guys, spread the word... 3 spots need to be filled for our first J.E.M Dyno Day... $50 per car Cheers
  4. For around $6,500 I would get: - RB25DET + G'Box ( ~ $2000) - High flow turbo ($900) - Split Dump/screamer pipe ($400) - Deatschwerks 550cc Injectors ($550 delivered) - FMIC Kit ($350) - Walbro FP ($180) - Greddy EBC ($390) - ECU + Tune ($1800) Total Price = $6,570 Approx power = 250 - 280rw/kw
  5. UPDATE - Pics added as every one requested.
  6. Thats what i meant Aaron, as in its a reputable name... i stated that Advan are excellent with skylines...
  7. The following diagram represents my understanding of the cooling process of an interccoler. meaning that as air passes through the fins, the "thickness" of the FMIC core is where the cooling process happens. Its the same as when GTR's upgrade their FMIC to thicker cores with same frontal dimentions (ie. 600 x 300) that allows them to run higher boost and power levels. Again the same principal with the R33 Vs R34 SMIC... So can a light coat of paint decrease the cooling capability of an FMIC? i honestly dont think so.. But for an extra $50 might as well get it anodised... Regards, Sarkis
  8. Yep Advan are excellent for all skylines and so are CRD but be prepaired to fork out the $$$ you pay for the name...
  9. Personally i cant see how paint on the endtanks and piping can cause ANY heat soak especially when the air is travelling to thise speeds. However i can see how cooling will be reduced by having paint on the core thats why i have decided to anodise the FMIC... Cheers
  10. It also comes down to your power goal and budget... if you are thinking of keeping the car for many years and want to get BIG power out of it eventually, its worth the few extra $$$ and getting a real good ECU cause then you will never need to change it... If your after max stock power and arnt going to keep the car more then a few years, find a cheap ECU & tune package eg. EMS stinger approx $1800 supply, fitted and tuned... Cheers
  11. Plug & Play is the way to go.. No mess no stress and if your ever going to sell, just plug in your stock ECU my 2 c
  12. Haltech E11v2 is getting fitted and tuned in my R33 soon... I have extensivly looked into: - EMS - Does not support multi-injection control - Microtech - Very hard to fine tune for economy - PFC (hard to get) + requires Z32 AFM for 230+rw/kw applications The best way of doing it is finding a reasonable and reputable tuner and get him to suply, fit and tune wich ever ECU he is knowledgable with.. Cause the ECU will only ever be as good as the tuner... Regards, Sarkis
  13. GKtech is selling them for $349 for SAU members. Also the GKtech FMIC kit has Polished Aluminium piping... where as Just Jap kit is Chrome Plated... Other then that, its the same kit.. If you live in melb pick up a GKtech kit.. saves you a shipping fee.. Cheers
  14. Yea ill be getting my FMIC kit Anodised matt black.. its going to set me back approx $150 however the benifits are: - Increase surface area = Better cooling - Matt black = radiate heat better - Will give a "stealth" look - Anodising will strengthen the fins and core Can't wait to get it all done.. ill make sure to post up before/after pics as well as installation pics Regards, Sarkis
  15. 3 spots left for the J.E.M Dyno Day #1 we need at least 2 more cars... Spread the word guys! Regards, Sarkis
  16. I would love to see some pics too... Cheers
  17. Im also getting a Haltech E11v2 fitted and tuned... cant wait!
  18. Free Bump! Absolute gorgeous wheels... i wish i had them on my R33... Good Luck with the sale!
  19. Justin - The problem with your method is that it still sucks hot air in... the CAI snorkel must be 100% sealed and have a direct air feed from outside the engine bay... The R32 airbox can have the easiest CAI setup due to the AFM sucking from the lid leaving the the bottom part in direct acess with the SMIC hole... Dezz - I have had a look and our idea will work... just need to figure out what materials to use... Cheers
  20. Another Photoshop Anodisation Cheers
  21. Could you please draw up a diagram to illustrate your idea??? Cheers
  22. Yea but the underside of the R33 Air box is "filtered" air section meaning if you put a 3" induction pipe there it will bypass the airfilter... The only viable method would be to increase the top lid's intake like this: What you think? Regards, Sarkis
  23. PM me to be added on the Dyno Day #1 List... max of 6 so first in first served... Cheers
  24. My pleasure Jeff... feel free to gather 5 or 6 buddies for the Dyno Day... ill add your name to the list Cheers
