  1. No doubt that Sliding performance offers an excellent quality product and this isn’t a performance thread guys, its a group buy! SO PLEASE LETS KEEP IT REGARDING THE PRODUCT ON OFFER AND NOT ANYONE ELSES! I appreciate your concerns and comments however it is all irrelevant to this GB. Precision turbos is offer an exclusive offer to SAU and im sharing this offer with you all. Even i am in on the deal as you can see my name on the list. I bet once i get my car done and post the result, many of you will PM me wanting to order one of these... as most of you were skeptics regarding Slide's highflow, and now that its proven you all want it...   3. First of all, my apologies for the misconception of my comments. What I meant was, Ball Bearing turbos are superior in durability than journal bearing turbos. This comment is not only stated by me, but by MANY knowledgeable SAU members and performance specialist. It is my understanding that ALL RB20, RB25 & RB26 come with ball bearing turbos from factory, therefore a journal bearing unit will be a downgrade to a certain degree of durability. Guy’s I’m not trying to say that Slide’s or GCG’s turbos aren’t good, in fact I think they are one of the best options out there! However, from seeing the prices on ball bearing highflows, I have organised a Group Buy with a highly credible workshop called Precision Turbochargers who cater for ball bearing as well as journal bearing highflows. Slide’s journal bearing offer is at an unbeatable price therefore I have not tried offering anything in that range. On the other hand Precision Turbo’s are offer a similar product to GCG at a better price and that’s what im trying to offer all SAU members. An alternative to other manufactures with the same quality and service. Regards, Sarkis

  5. Cause Slide's high flows are Journal bearing which require a constant oil pressure and flow... Precision Turbo & GCG highflow's are Ball Bearing same as the factory turbo which means no moddification of the water or oil lines are needed. In other words by going to a journal bearing highflow, you are "down grading" in quality to your stock turbo... Regards, Sarkis

  7. Thanks for the replies... i wanted to get my FMIC black for the stealth look rather then performance or cooling gains... so far it seems that a VERY light coat of radiator paint or Anodising is the way to go... Got any pics please krizza_ca18det? Cheers

  10. Thanks guys! I have also read that anodising can damage the IC fins due to the sulfuric acid wash.. is this true? Would radiator paint fade/flake off the polished parts of the IC? Regards, Sarkis
  11. From what i have read up so far: Anodising is "staining" the aluminium surface at a thickness of approx 0.3 - 0.5mm therefore not affecting its thermal properties. So looks like anodising is the way to go... Would really appreciate you opinion guys! Regards, Sarkis

  14. Okay guys, decision time! I have searched with no results…. Powder Coating Vs Anodizing 1. Which is better? 2. Which last longer? 3. Which will act better as a heat “radiator”? 4. Which will be less restrictive for airflow and not clog up the fins? Any further info would be great! Regards, Sarkis
  15. NYTSKY - Nope they use the stock oil and water lines... New bango bolts are supplied cause the thread on the new Garrett core are different to the stock ones... this is COMPLETE highflow and only uses your exhaust and comp housings... the rest are brand new Garrett parts. Oi mate - I spoke to them today regarding any surge issues and they said in the past 8 years of RB turbo highflows they have done (10 per day = 25,000 units at least) that they have NEVER had any surge issues with the RB25DET highflows... TUNE HOUSE told me that 3 of their recent R33's have landed a 270rw/kw with these highflows using Haltech ECU's Regards, Sarkis

  19. ROYAL PURPLE 10W40 all the way! As for ECU, it will only ever be as good as the tuner... however as far as getting the upmost performance, economy and realiability, a MAP sensor based ECU such as Haltech are recommended by every tuner i have spoken to... Apexi PFC is a great plug and play unit however is limited in some of the advanced finer tuning sectors from what i have been told... Cheers

  21. No offence dude but your prices are a tad high as well as your not open to negotiation so how do you expect to sell? you sure thats an R34 turbo? shouldn't the rear ex housing have OP6 same as the VG30? yours has 21U If its genuine R34.. ill give you $350 NO OFFERS Cheers
