  1. UPDATE - Jut got off the phone with one of the tuners at TUNE HOUSE and he confirmed that they have easily gotten 250 - 270rw/kw on R33's with the Precision Turbo 500HP highflow, and the $200 you save from the GCG item can go toward an EBC or any other mod... Regards, Sarkis

  4. NYTSKY - As proven by many members inc Sydneykid, BB turbos do spool up much faster then JB turbos. And for $1550 your getting a direct bolt on unlike other after market turbo's which need new water + oil lines, manifold, dump pipe and are a DEFECT! this high flow will give you the "stealth" look and also suprise all those who think ur car is stock... I am in the exact same boat as you and wanted the best option... but why pay $1000 for a JB high flow when its a down grade to the stock item? for an extra $550 your getting a BB item that will maximise your cars power output as well as last much longer then a JB turbo. Adrian - Thanks for clearing it up! However im just going by what Tune house and Rigoli have advised me about these units... if a GCG 450hp unit is producing 260+ in some cars, then a Garrett 500HP unit should do just the same ifnot more....   5. Im sure CRD will tune the car safely but even then they wont give you any warranty on the job. cause more power = more engine and component stress = higher risk of breaking something. As long as the AFR are fine and your not using excessive boost (20+psi) your car should be just fine... Personally i would rather have slight less power but have greater reliability and economy.   9. Hey guys, I been searching all day on the limits of the stock BOV and can’t seem to find what I need. As I will be getting a high flow turbo soon, I am guessing the stock BOV won’t cope with boost levels above 14 psi? From my understanding the BOV sees boost pressure at the throttle body end (bottom part) as well as the manifold (top part) doesn’t this mean the valve should be neutralized? How come many performance shops state the stock BOV opens up under high boost? My options so far: - No BOV (though this will reduce the life of the turbo) - GTR BOV (cant find any) - Aftermarket Plumb back BOV Will blocking the vent hole underneath the stock BOV help in higher boost applications? Any advise will be much appreciated! Regards, Sarkis

Personally i dont think there is a definite “maximum” power level for any engine… there are many variables… it all comes down to: - How well its tuned - The driving style of the owner - Service history - Condition of the over all car I have seen RB25’s pass the 300rw/kw mark and last for quite some time.. and have also seen RB25’s fail at 270rw/kw… Cheers

  12. Just would like to clear up any misconception about these highflows. Precision Turbochargers use a genuine Garrett ball bearing high flow pack which Garrett themself rate at 500HP. Just call any of those performance workshops i listed and ask them, i did and they stated those power figures. Regards, Sarkis

This highflow will give you a big HP increast through out yout rev range and being ball bearing, it will spool faster then journal and bush bearing highflows... i also got a S2 R33 and am going to get one of these highflows done..   14. Well from what i have found out, this mod does work however tuning will be harder as well as idle quality will suffer... im leaning toward a highflow set of 555cc from Deatschwerks or 550cc Nismo's... cheers
  15. I have been advised that there is a 30% power loss through the drive train... therefore 500hp = 372.85kw - 30% = 260.99rw/kw... please correct me if i am mistaken... Cheers

Sounds like a short in the electrical system in your car.. that could have caused the globes to burn out in the first place... have you installed any electronic devices recently? or check all the wiring for any aftermarket devices such as turbo timer, CD player, Amp .etc. Get an auto electrician to check it out Cheers

  19. Yep, they will highflow it even with a busted wheel... just make sure to read the Journal Bearing Vs Ball Bearing turbo thread before you spend your money.. cause there is a ball bearing highflow group buy atm... cheers
  20. Spot on Slapper! Thats why im spraying my FMIC Kit using High-Temp matt black... wont be noticable to the cops and will make you car seem stock... cheers

  22. Yea ill go for the Sliding Performance option too cause the KKR turbo's arnt ball bearing... Otherwise for a little extra you can highflow your turbo with ball bearing for $1550... $200 cheaper then GCG! and rated at 500HP Check out the Group Buy's Cheers
