  1. Yea but if he can get a straight swap for his smashed R32 for a GTR front cut, then there shouldn't be a money issue...
  2. Yea, but it defies the purpose of having a GTR if your going to stick an RB25 in it… maybe approach a Jap wrecking yard and offer a trade on your smashed R32 (remove all the useable parts first) for an GTR front cut… that way you will have an RB26DETT in a GTR as God intended my 2c Best of luck!
  3. My SII R33 pulled 144rw/kw stock as a rock (7psi) then 165rw/kw with full exhaust (7psi) so theoretically at 10psi i should be looking closer to 175rw/kw. Your dyno graph looks all over the shop once it hits full boost. My car had a simillar dip at 5000rpm due to misfiring coils and now that its fixed its smooth to redline... can you feel those power dips on the road? and misfiring/hesitation? Spark gap may be too big and the boost is blowing out the spark.. try 0.8mm gap... check coils... Hope all goes well dude! Regards, Sarkis
  4. Dry soldering is when the solder cracks due to heat and age therefore will provide a poor electric conduction. Yes the black cover will have to be removed to re-solder the contacts. Try a mates AFM first before opening it up. An ECU diagnostics will show if the ECU is picking up any error codes due to to a faulty electrical component. I think its the first place to start, that way you can eliminate other possible causes. Cheers
  5. Is the car blowing any smoke? try a compression test and see what the results are...
  6. These kind of issues can be cause by a variety of things. Start with the smallest possibilities and work your way up. Its either going to be electrical of fuel related... If it mainly happens once the car warms up then its most likely a moving component or a component that changes temp such as injectors, fuel pump & AFM... Check the following: - Fuel pump (does it seem to be buzzing or struggling) - Injectors (Nulon injector cleaner + fresh tank of premium) - Blockages in fuel lines/filter - Dry soldering in AFM If all seem fine then perhaps an ECU diagnostic check. I bet most of SAU members will say its your WALBRO shitting itself as its not the most desired pump lol Good luck! Regards, Sarkis
  7. Yea but i have been told that once the 4 hole cap has been removed off the injector, the single pintle (jet) cannot be ballanced... If any of you can get a set flow tested with the cap removed and post the results, it may save alot of people few $$$ that can be spent on other mods. Cheers
  8. From everyone i have spoken to, tuning is going to be the biggest let down. Due to each injector having a slightly different flow as well as not being able to ballance them, tuning each injector will be harder as well as less accurate. I might try this and see how it goes and worst case ill get a set of nismo's. If anyone gets a chance to flow test and dyno tune this settup, please post your results. Regards, Sarkis
  9. *Sarkis cracks his knuckles and gets his trusty metal saw ready*
  10. You can buy a self-tapping nipple from any hardware and get it put in the original position on the new piping... Cheers
  11. Just spoke to a fuel injection expert and he said this mod is "certainly feasible" just need a rising rate fuel pressure reg + decent tune and should be all sweet. He commented that he has seen it done on WRX's with no drama's... Power Flow Injections in wetherill park told me that a "high flow" of an injectors is simply increasing the pintle size on the cap and ballancing the hole sizes... internally nothing is touched! Keep us posted on the results guys! Regards, Sarkis
  12. So let me get this right, if i remove the 4 hole caps off the top of the RB25DET injectors they would they would be at ~550cc flow? If this is so then im WRAPPED lol but how come none of the tuners have ever discovered this? would the single pintle flow cause any disruption to economy? or cause unburnt fuel? Cheers
  13. Unfortunatly i dont have a Paypal account to order from DeatschWerks and for $300 extra i can get a set of Nismo 555cc delivered and sell my injectors for $200... Cheers
  14. Yea DeatschWerks sounds good... whats their turn around period from date of payment? Cheers
  15. Very intresting... this may save some people a LOT of money... anywhere i sydney that can "highflow" the stock RB25DET injectors? I contacted Power Flow in wetherill park and he quoted $800 for a full set of 550cc "highflowed" RB25 injectors... which i would rather get the Nismo's Cheers
  16. You will get you money back for the Safc when you decide for an ECU upgrade...
  17. Heheh if thats the case, you just saved my self $900 for 555cc Nismo's! How accurate is this for the RB25DET injectors? Cheers
  18. The nipple required is for the actuator so that it opens once boost pressure rises... you can T-piece a vacumme hose from the BOV to the actuator with the same result... been covered many times... try searching.. Cheers
  19. With only $500 to spend, buy a SAFC and split dump... Cheers
  20. Thanks for the advise psybic, i will inquire wth few more workshops this week and will make my choice according to my budget and tuners recommendations... Regards, Sarkis
  21. I have heard some bad things about Microtech... and i would prefer to stick with an ECU that my tuner is confident in... that wat ill get the best possible tune for my car.. Thanks
  22. i wish i read and spoke japanese to bid and buy... lol Ill be keeping my eye out for a PFC untill mid feb... if i cant source a decent one, ill be considering the EMS... Cheers
  23. Hehe i wish i had money to burn Paul, but im only trying to find the best option... i would prefer a new ECU rather a 2nd hand one... So far the best new pice i found for a PFC is $1200 with h/c + gotta gut a Z32 AFM $350 then $450 for tune = $2000 so by going EMS Stinger ill be saving $200...
  24. What about the EMS 8860? it has 8 ignition drivers.... but for $2200... would rather spend bit more and get the Haltech... Buy if i can find a good buy for a PFC for GTST i would grab it...
  25. Hey Paul, read the EMS Spec Sheet http://www.enginemanagementsystem.com/ecuspecs.htm and then tell me what you think... Cheers
