  1. Thanks for the reply guys, my aim is NOT to chase 0.00001 hp gain but to have it hidden behind the front bar and not noticable... im sure if i just spray it black it will flake off after a few months from the hot and cold temp changes... I dont want a GTR FMIC cause i prefer a kit that comes with all the piping... dont want to have to make up custom pipes... Is the Nismo black FMIC still in production? Cheers
  2. As i'm slowy getting ready for my highflow build, im also going to purchase a FMIC kit.. however i want a black FMIC with black pipes purely for the stealth look behind my R33 S2 bar... does any company make such a FMIC kit? or would i have to paint it? Cheers
  3. Hey Stan, i was really impressed with your high flow results... are you running stock cams and manifold? Cheers
  4. Thanks for the feed back Dave! Yea i spoke to John and he seemed very knoledgable.. So far it looks like ill be going ahead with a high flow from Precision Turbo... uless this new Garrett unit isat a real good price... Cheers
  5. Anything cheaper then the Sliding Performance High flow will be nothing but a Sunbeam Hair dryer... At Sliding Performance's prices, he is getting orders WORLD WIDE! So if your after a quality job at an unbeatable price, contact Aaron at Sliding Performance... If your after a Bolt-on Ball Bearing Highflow, Precision Turbochargers have an excellent price and service and might try and organise a group buy asap... or GCG's highflow for $1750 SAU price... Cheers
  6. Maybe so, but many of our cars are daily drivers and would like to maintain the "stock" look under the hood.. not to mention the requirement of new oil, water lines and adaptors for most new turbos... so therefore the highflow is best streetable option as stated by many of the best tuners... However, Trooper has advised me that Garrett are releasing a New RB25 bolt-on turbo and has been shown to produce 260+rw/kw which im also very keen on... release date is in feb for this new turbo so its price will determine wether i highflow or get this new Garrett... Just considering all my options... Regards, Sarkis
  7. Hey fella's, ill ask if we can organise a group buy however as far as value for money, Sliding Performance takes the cake! im 100% sure that Precision turbo wont match or beat Aarons deal in the journal bearing high flows. As far as the Ball Bearing high flows, im sure we can get a much better price then the GCG Highflow price, cause already without any discount Precision Turbochargers are cheaper than GCG so with a group buy or even an SAU exclusive offer i can probably organise a real good deal... ill get back to you guys asap! Regards, Sarkis
  8. Hey Andy, im well thanks buddy and you? That price is to give them your turbo and get it highflowed and they can do it within a day if u arrange it with them. the stage 1 & 2 are journal bearing and rated at approx 400HP which should produce 230 - 240rw/kw and they are priced at $1350. If you want an excellent service and deal, check out SLIDEING PERFORMANCE's High Flow package.. its an unbeatable price and Aaron is a top bloke... the only reason im considering Precision Turbo is cause its a BB highflow... Any feedback on these turbos will be appreciated guys! Regards, Sarkis
  9. Hey guys, after some extensive research, I have decided to high flow my stock RB25DET turbo. Precision Turbochargers in Wetherill Park are quoting $1650 for a maximum oversize stage 3 ball bearing high flow with Garrett internals rated at 450 – 500HP… They were so helpful, honest and very friendly. I have asked a few local performance shops including V&E Rigoli and everyone seems to highly recommend them… One shop even told me of an R33 with their turbo and all supporting mods topped 282rw/kw in shoot out! The reason I’m considering these guys apart from their excellent customer service is that they are around the corner from me and will do the high flow in one day.. drop off in the morning pick up in the afternoon… Are any of you guys using or heard anything about their High flow turbos?? MERRY CHRISTMAS! Regards, Sarkis
  10. Large FMIC + stock turbo = less response down low... Just makes the car breathe little better on those hot days. Just get an R34GTT SMIC upgrade... there good for 200rw/kw and 10psi which is the limit of the stock turbo... Cheers
  11. Got my windows done at 15% with life time warranty... about $180.. Just tell him Sarkis with the silver skyline reffered you... Call Michael - 0422 166 808 He is honestly excellent! He sub-contacts for Solace.. He has tinted many of my friends and family's cars and all are very happy... Cheers
  12. I use Shell V-Racing and would be lucky to get 350 - 400kms out of a tank and the wierd thing is that its not running rich at all...
  13. Im pretty sure that with NSW law, the air filter needs to be secured and shielded... in other words, the AFM needs to be bracketed onto the body of the car and the POD needs to be almost completely enclosed... If the CAI box has the top half opened then it will still be classed as a defect... Cheers
  14. $700 sounds too cheap... i have called a few places and the cheapest cash price i got was $990... and please as the rules states, dont trash a GB if you can get it cheaper then good luck and dont post your comments... Thank you
  15. The 8GB version has not been released yet but why would you need more then 4GB? LOL

  18. I have stock coil packs that have been cleaned and coated with industrial silicone and NEVER had a single misfire while running 10psi and NGK irridiums gapped at 0.8mm... i was only getting 350kms to a tank and read that a larger gap would help economy... so i gapped them to 1mm and it began to splutter each time i gave it a hit... so back down to 0.8 without a miss! Cheers
  19. Splitfires ALL THE WAY! its proven to give a 10rw/kw increase... ill be getting a set as soon as i finish my turbo upgrade... Cheers
  20. I got QRI05E = Curious... had it on my SSS since i got my L's so thought to keep them... lol Here are a couple nice plates i considered getting that are NOT taken in NSW: ZZZTSH = BOV sound 1VAKND = One of a Kind NOTLEB = perfect for an RB powered Holden Gemini LOL I have seen some nice ones in Syd: I8AV8 = I ate a V8 3ENTRY = Free Entry LTSRUN = Lets Run DUZNGO = Dosen't Go GMEOVR = Game Over Cheers
  21. Hey Trooper, how much did the Garrett RB25 Turbo set you back? Where can they be ordered from? Cheers
  22. Back to the topic plz guys, what other ECU besides the PFC is considered to be plug'n'play for a GTSt?
  23. Last night at WSID I saw 4 R33 skylines running shocking times... with exhaust + FMIC from what i saw were in the mid 14's! I even spoke to some of the guys and they blamed poor traction but didn’t seem to be the case from the stands, i could be wrong... the only half decent SII R33 ran a 13.0.. when i approached the car at the pits, i saw a FMIC, Fuel Reg, Splitfires, MBC and exhaust... the turner claimed it also had a high flow turbo and PFC tuned and also claimed a unreasonable 290rw/kw.. which i thought was bit farfetched due to having a highflow... could i be wrong? I'd be pretty pissed if a 13.0 was the best time i could get with 290rw/kw... Cheers
  24. Cheers for that discopotato... the GCG/sliding performance highflow seems like the way to go and then when im ready for the BIG power ie full rebuild, i can consider a larger turbo... but for street use, the highflow method seems like the way to go... Regards, Sarkis
  25. Thanks for that Geoff, i ALWAYS warm up and cool down my car anyway so the Sliding Performance Highflow is yet looking better again hehe... i just want to be making the right choice... i would love to only spend $900 on the highflow but id the GCG is MUCH better, then ill spend the $1800 cause i want reliability + performance... while maintaining a stockish look cause this is an every day car.. Any Dyno graphs with the Sliding Performance Highflow on an RB25??? Cheers
