  1. now by saying r33 skyline, i cant exactly assume what type of engine your chasing... do you want an rb25 or an rb26 both very different engines..
  2. well... back in the day when i was 16 turning 17, my parents told me if i get impressive marks at school, they will buy me a 10g car for my first so i think offering some sort of incentive might work, i could be wrong though, and it wont work on everyone i was just so desperate for a car, and back then i didnt have much knowledge so for 10g i went and bought a galant vr4 4wd turbo and abused it for a year or 2 edit: would not buy the kids a new car though, something that gets them from A to B is enough until they gain some driving exp.
  3. or you could just keep the boost off tap with the throttle
  4. had enough of my rex, was a fun ride while it lasted but i believe i've come to the point where i just want to try something different. i've sold the wrx, guy is coming tomorrow night to pick it up i've got 17k from that, and i've saved up another 5k 22k to play with.. i've been looking around for R32 GTR's and can't seem to find one that meets my personal criterias but i'll keep looking... few questions i wanted to ask you fellas: 1) how different is the power delivery between a wrx and a GTR? 2) how much work/money would be needed to get a gtr into the 300kw mark? 3) i realise r32's are getting quite dusty these days, what do i look for when i go to inspect one? i also am really fancying a twin turbo MKIV supra, if i cant find a clean decent r32 gtr, i might save up a bit more and head down the supra track... so convince me fellas! Cheers and thanks in advance btw happy easter! EDIT: i'm not after an already modified example, my main concern will be the state of the engine, i'd rather a stock GTR rather than a modified one (which will be very difficult)

  6. yes it will sound the same in an auto as it will in a manual a BOV sound is a simple process of spooling up the turbo and letting go of the acceleration pedal
  7. also i've found a supra at a car dealer that i'm possibly interested in 1994 supra twin turbo RZ 6spd manual 22,400 genuine km's (with proof) white in colour immaculate inside and out already has the standards (full exhaust, front mount, SSQ BOV, boost controller and guages) $28,900 and he said if im genuinely interested in buying it, he can "look after me" and drop the price even lower. i took it for a test drive and i have to say... wow. it's really quick.. rammed me back in my seat.. couldnt even move my head coz of the pressure lol if i wanted to buy that would i be able to? what kind of monthly repayments would i be looking at? would the interest be high? the last i heard is that the car dealerships are a quiet market and can approve things like this on the spot and get me the car i want... is this true? thanx p.s what do you mean by he will blow his load over me? is that a good thing? lol
  8. ok i've been wanting a skyline for a long time now.. i have a job that pays cash in hand (no tax) roughly close to 1k a week in hand i have no idea how the car buying world works since i have never bought from a dealer or private, i currently have a galant vr4 which got given to me by my older brother, it served me well for a while, but i'm ready to move up. i've been looking at a few skylines at some dealerships on parramatta road (sydney) and have found 1 that i would like to buy is it possible to just walk up to the dealer and say "i want this car, can we work out a monthly payment plan, fill the required forms and get the keys today?" i know this sounds really newbie but i have no idea how i would go about buying one.. i can't pull a loan because of some tax issues, and i can't put anyone on guarantor because i don't have a spouse/partner or parents. thanks in advance to anyone who bothers to help me p.s. i'm 18, 19 in 2 months
