  1. Yeah organizer happy with any cars. (be it old, new, modified, classic, custom, restored etc)
  2. Paul Greentree, CEO of the Queanbeyan Racing Club (Horse Racing) has sent out this email in relation to having some cars on display at the Race Course on Sunday 17 th May from 10:30 am. For all people who would like to have their car displayed (be it old, new, modified, classic, custom, restored etc) the Queanbeyan Racing Club will provide them with a free BBQ and entry to the club. The cars will be roped off so the public will not be able to get too close to them, and they have the appropriate liability insurance to cover a static display. The Queanbeyan Racing Club will also have prizes for the top 6 cars which will be by peoples choice. They are putting on a family day, which includes activities for the children, jumping castles etc, and also having fashions on the field, media release on the day, and they will also have the actual Melbournes Cup on display. I am more than happy to co-ordinate this event, so if anyone is interesed in attending can you please let me know so I can get back to the orgainizer. Over to you. Regards Alan
  3. If your going to fit an RB 25, check out this first mate. Might save you some heart ache later on. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roads/veh...n/vsb_ncop.aspx
  4. Had very little interest so far but I will be there tomorrow. Want to get some of the GTS anyway so if anyone else shows shows up all and good. 9 AM tomorrow. See you if you show up. Alan
  5. Weather forecast is for Rain Sunday and Monday. Anyone up for a change to Saturday Same time same place etc etc ......
  6. As promised details as listed: Easter Sunday Time: 9am (Nice and early so to miss the crowds) Where: Old Dept of Taxation Car Park From there we go down to the fountains below Old Parliment House. There is plenty of room for you to take individual or group shots of cars. From there to the Car Park at the bottom of ANZAC Drive. You have the lake in the background. Then up to the top of MT Ainslie. For those that wish to, then a cruise to a nominated BBQ area for lunch or what ever. If your still interested please let me know via this thread.
  7. I have been sick as a dog the last few weeks but back now well sort of... Running up the photo shoot and will have details posted tomorrow night.
  8. Yes its still a go'er. Going out on Saturday and Sunday to look at the best spots and the will post the results, times etc on Sunday night. Waiting to get the "Long Range" weather report as well to finalize time's. Again have the 4 days to choose from but will take into concideration of the days you wont be available. Will keep you posted. Alan.....
  9. Is there an updated list of who's coming yet
  10. My GTS 2 is available for the display, add me..
  11. I'm still here just stiing back and watching the posts. I will be looking at the Easter Long weekend for the shoot. A month or so away so plenty of time to arange an approprite venue. Also gives us 4 days to choose from just in case of bad weather. Anyway thats what I have in mind over to you guys....
  12. Well I might as well throw my 2 bobs worth in then. 1. I am for anyone to bring along and show their car be it Skyline, Toyota or what ever. We keep the Skylines together and the other makes can be placed around the edge to enhance the display and to give non Skyline owners the privilage of helping out the display. No one should be disadvantaged. 2. Someone in an earlier post said to keep it to "Skyline imports". Statements in this forum really piss's me off. I own the best Auzzie built Skyline (GTS 2) and I might add is very reah (only 200 built) and a HR 31. Due to the HR 31 not being up to display status she wont be coming, thats unless I win lotto tomorrow the will have both there. I dont give a rats what make of Skyline it is. If you notice in the index on the Home Page there are threads about not only imports but Auzzie built as well so I asume that SAU is a place for "ALL SKYLINES". "http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Skyline-Pics-R31-and-Earli-t231838.html" Have a look at this thread of old school Skylines and you will see what I mean. 3. We all own a car, whatever make it is and we are all members of this forum, so why does it come to a thread like this. What we should be looking at is the Display and who wants to join in. 4. If it comes to pass that MY GTS 2 isn't wanted in the display fine, no skin off my nose so will go over to the 31 Club and see what they have planned. From me on a personal note. We all drive cars what ever make and regardless at the end of the day we all apprecite what we drive. We need to have respect for those who by some strange chance dont drive the same make as we do. I have probably rattled a few cages with this post but then so be it. I have been the car club scene for considerable time and have seen clubs tear themselves apart over issues like this. I dont want to see this happen. Come on guys lets just get together and make not only the day but the display something worth while. If I am invited will do everthing I can to display the GTS 2 in the best light. I will now get down off my soap box, jump back into my box and close the lid.
  13. Very keen to bring the GTS 2 if you want. Would only need a R 34 to complete the set The HR 31 definitly not up to scratch for shows.
  14. Wouldnt have the oil pump up for grads would you ???? Interested if you have ..
