Question On Exterior Differences In R32 Models
wal replied to tastyratz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
please correct me If i'm wrong As or the motorized front lip wing, it came out on other models as well, I have one on mine i think it is a M-spec bar. GT-R bonnets, I believe the only difference from a GTSt (for example) to a GTR is the metal used. I think it is Alunimum on the GTR. So you should be able to use GTR headlight with GTSt bonnet. But you will have to look into the front bumper issues, some 32s have no grill and just a extra big lip ontop of front bumper. As for fenders/guards they will all bolt onto each 32 model, as for silvia i don't know. you should ask this same question at Nissansilvia.com I have seen a S13 Silvia with a R32 front end, just can't recal where. -
Yeah well the battery is very small, so I guess thats it. thanks cowie165 Mal

I have just last week started driving my r32 GTSt 4 door. I love it!!!! Few little Qs? When I start it it takes a few starter motor cranks before it goes, is this normal? It is only 2 or 3 seconds but it is consistant? What is the standard boost? and is the guage in pounds? Sht the thing likes to rev, am I straining the motor on the occational rev to 6500-7000 RPM, it just gets there so quickly and it loves it!!!! Thanks Wal

Thanks Mate. I have a R32 GTSt 4 door.

Well, pitty you don't want an auto. There is a BIG saving there esspecially a 33 4door auto. But I understand you want a real car. It should come down to personal prefferance, what do you prefer the most? I myself prefer 32's. Drift. you need to expect to spend money to repair and maintain it. you should see what people think about a 32 vs 33 for drift. I have been in 32 and 33 drift cars quite a few times. And from that I can strongly agree with the driver that they are very different cars to drift. The 32 was snappy. The 33 was much smoother.

That sounds pretty impressive for stocks. I have just got my GTSt, it has a garret t03 hiflow turbo, 3" dump and a 3" exhaust. Everything else is standard as far as I know. Any idea what kind of power I should epect at the wheels? May be a stupid question but I have barly driven it and I'm pretty excited to find out.

Just do exactly what there good for. Apart from donuts. 1 wheel on the road and the other on the grass. if you take off an open diff will just spin the wheel with the least traction. A LSD will grip to the road, enough power and both will spin. Mal

Does anyone know what the specs are for the front calipers on a R32 GTSt. I believe the thickness is 30mm new and 28 min for RW but I am not sure on the overall diameter. Mal

R31 Skyline 1990 Series Iii Silhouette
wal replied to wal's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
I paid just over 5k a bit over a year ago for this car. I have brought a VG 5 speed and did the conversion, maintained it well and put in a better stero. I would reckon I can start at 5 and see how I go. At the time I looked at heaps but alot were bodged up and some claimed to have stuff like LSDs but did not. All motors were good, as nothing goes wrong with em. -

wal replied to GTR_STEALTH's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
That one on bell street, my mate got his GTir. He doesn't regret it but Isuggest you get some good first hand advice of where to go. Wal -
Sideways at about 130km facing a tirewall. Yep I hadn't been in many turbo cars at all. I was a the Morwell hillclimb track and my mate took me for a straight out flying lap sideways and smoking. I loved it. Heres a pic I just got myself an R32 GTSt 4 door, I too can't wait for rego. Wal

Does anyone know where I can get a good R32 4 door kit.
-
Dispite the 4wd and the fact the 32 GTR is the best of its class. I would go a 32 GTR anyday. IMO The 33 is the model that doesn't quite fit the skyline picture. The 32-34 you can see the relation in the aggresive look. I do like the 33s but they are just not aggresive enough!

Very nice mate. I work with photoshop everyday and I have to say that is a good effort. How long did it take?
