Lol I think that's more pertinent for my track car thread. -

Lol I'm not sure if I should be impressed or concerned with how much effort went into that, you must be fun at parties Some threads relate to my weekender, some to my track car. All have promoted quality conversation imo. Something a forum needs to survive. #noregrets. I come here to talk to like minded car enthusiast and bounce ideas around with subject matter experts - I make no apologies for that. P.S. New C63S is sexy as! -

Haven't done anything, been on holidays. Had a thread about track cars, which you saw, maybe he meant that? -
The Build Of The Beast
No Crust Racing replied to Hadouken's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
Oh the sale is on softs is it? maybe they'll come up to being a medium Soft will get chew up too quickly. They might be better than an RS-RR in the same size but im talking 235 vs 255 with the added advantage of the RS-RR lasting longer. -

Is that going to make "that" much of a difference though? I assume they go a bit hard and will require more heat in them to work? For the money they're on par with 255 Federal RS-RRs, ($600 for 235 R17s). Would they be better than those? I'm tossing up the same rubber as Hadouken or going 255 if I can clear it. -

I saw those, very cheap. Did he have 255 R17? He hasn't responded to me yet. -
The tuner of my GTR would handle it, though he wants me to put a sprint in it, which is a 1k ECU and this is a budget car so I thought a nistune would be fine, but he doesn't like them as he has "too many of them come back with issues". He's a Haltech man though so who knows. I dunno if parting it would net me more $$, the flat cap drifter brigade has ruined second hand prices, plus it takes much more time. I'll just finish the rear end work, get some 255s on it and go out and chop some 300kw Skylines again to make me feel better.

Everyone keeps Banging on about MX5s but given how much work has gone into this s13 it might be easier to stick with it and just not chase power. 200rwkw is safe enough for a CA now the head gasket is fresh. Maybe I should spend a few hundred on an ecu for safety and a tidier tune as I only have the old 90s era Apexi SAFC2 and SITC, sitting on top of a tuned base ROM. If I got an MX5 it would need to have the same level of mods mine does, brakes, suspension, seat, cage, some basic aero etc and most of the ones I see for sale in the budget of what this Silvia is worth don't have all that. Sad knowing this Silvia is worth 5-7k tops
