  1. Thanks dude, I like them alot and being able yo go custom size is wicked, hopefully 0 offset fits 😅
  2. Get hype! Box says test fit first so I'll do that before slicks go on.
  3. Oh herro.... No glamour pics til I can get in to the office and get them out of the box, I may have already had a sneaky pic sent from inside...
  4. Juicy updates time. Invested in a brass wire grinder disc and got to work stripping the paint off the LCAs then put the hoist to good use and rattle canned them satin black. In traditional fashion, I rushed/went a bit hard in some spots so there will be no close ups of the runs OK 😅 Hunted around to find some new boots for the ball joint as 1 had split, the metal ring they come with is just a smidge big so it unseats when the ball joint moves full sweep, the old ones did this too. What have others done in this situation? The lip on the ball joint itself is not fantastic so I was thinking some fine gauge wire/safety wire to wrap/twist? I've also included a pic of the original boot. Also, My wheels are arriving in the office today, but I'm working from home with a sick child sad reacts all all round. I've also got a drill bit coming to do the front hubs so I can fit rotors and calipers properly. Oh and here's another head pic update, Dale said he just had to tidy up above and below where the divider meets the roof/floor.
  5. That was my reaction when I looked at pricing. Given I am about to replace my master, is it worth me trying to implement basic Nissan ABS? I was also under the impression it was not suitable for motorsport. I'm just going to a BM57 to match the 350z Brembos - the car has never had ABS.
  6. The long block got a bit carried away but the rest will be budget racing at its best, No Crust if you will I looked at the ABS kit costs.... that can wait for another refresh lol
  7. Casual updates worth 50k... you know, just casually... lol Awesome stuff mate, that ABS seems to be the hot ticket item for all the TA bois lately.
  8. 350z brembos on 2 piece HFM rotors. Did not clear old banger Volk Emu shit offset 17x8s up front. No surprise there. I sold the 17x9s as they were 4 stud.
  9. Lol no not at all, I'm only excited because they're new and can finally have wheels and calipers on as my old 17s dont clear the calipers. Still a budget bitch with budget wheels.
  10. Gotta admit it does generate a little excitement. Oh and guess who's wheels are coming early...
  11. Some before and after of the CNC'd and polished chambers. Plus some pics showing the throat work Dale has done on the exhaust ports. Head maybe finished this weekend???
  12. A mate said the previous welds looked a little cold and wanted me to try push instead of pull, seems to have been hotter and he was happier with that. One more gusset to go. Rims have been made and are awaiting paint and freight.
  13. I regret saying it was too cool for me... When what I meant was it is too expensive and unnecessary for my needs. Everything is crap 💖
  14. Ahh ok. Re MoTeC I just assume it's mega dollars, I'm not a big baller flush with crypto gains so I tend to look for value for money options, even the GT-R was done "sensibly" imo. That said, it's all based on an assumption that the MoTeC gear is expensive, no stigma, just assumption about costs, nothing more.
  15. What's M1 mean? I was looking at the Powertune dash but by their own admission it's not good for track use/lap timing. Could still run race chrono on the phone etc, but I'd rather all data be in place so I'm looking at Aim instead.
  16. Tried a little harder this time, just taking a few minutes to setup and position etc. Gussets next.
  17. I was always an SAU guy anyway, but also had NS content, which I moved here. Nothing beats a forum for genuine car discussion/build threads etc.
  18. Head work continues also.
  19. Was clearing out photos, forgot I was supposed to get some replacement hubs, followed up, received next day. Will fit and see if these weep also.
  20. Chipping away, 1st arm is done now, second arm was measured and carefully cut, better cut than the first one. Need to stop being so lazy and careless with the welder and get my positioning setup better as the gun wanders all over the place and I'm just not being focused enough. Thinking I rough them up and give a fresh coat of paint and maybe new bushes. Would also like some new boots for the ball joints. Do people go spherical for the LCA inners? Went for a ride on the new cranks, surprised to say I could actually notice a small difference in the weight of the rotating mass. Been 2mths since the last ride, fitness and skill was not there, had a minor off, no damage, but did find an amazing bit of track which I'll be back to hit again when weather permits.
  21. Wasn't me and yes car rims, nothing too fancy but brand new only my second new set ever lol
  22. Well you guys were useless so I didn't buy those rods, going to keep my spare block and crank as just that, spares in case. I still want to do an engine build of some sort at some stage. Conteplating a sub say 8k track car so I have something to drive while I keep building Silvia, any track only 86s out there? MX5 seem popular too? Last model Celica and corolla Sportivo any good? (Both 140+kw engine). Last ride out my cranks came off due despite me having bolt checked them before, bike shop said they had seem some issues with these so gave me $$ to spend on better ones at their expense which just turned up. 2 steps up from what I had so that's nice. No ride yet, haven't had time. Oh yeah, guess who just ordered some new rims? This guy! No spoilers plz.
  23. 8 buttons don't go far... You got dem billet oil pump gears ready for abuse?
